Homeroom dragged on far too long for six minutes. To Evelyn's excitement, Luke wasn't in her homeroom.

She sighed in relief, considering homerooms spent every morning together, as well as the extra period on shortened schedules.

It would've been a disaster with him.

Ms. Morgan, however, managed to sink her spirits back down to their original low. Her screechy voice filled Evelyn's ears, and it took all her will not to shove her fingers into her ears.

Finally, finally, the bell rang signaling 1st period. She sighed and got up, walking to the door and to her first class, math.

Her eyes caught sight of the teacher. He had white hair and was clearly over 50 years old.

He was in his chair, his feet on his desk which as a sight the students didn't quite ever see from a teacher.

She eagerly sat down in a seat that had her name on a small card, then looking around to catch an eye full of her classmates.

Nameless faces went past her vision as she desperately looked for a friend in the class. She was disappointed that she didn't see Calum, Ashton, or even Michael.

She would've rathered her brother than the next face that caught her eye.

She caught an eyeful of the blonde giant walk into the room as her spirits plummeted down to her feet.

She groaned as she realized Hemmings was written on the seat behind her. Evelyn was just thankful it wasn't right next to her.

He glared at her as she did the same before he sat in his seat.

"Good morning!" The teacher boomed as she winced at the voice. God, he was loud.

"Now. I'm Mr. Hallberg," he stood up and walked around with a ruler in his hand, "I'm old, and I'm going to be your worst nightmare."

As if school isn't bad enough.

The class looked at him scared before he laughed, "Guys I'm kidding. You have enough to handle with Ms. Morgan." He said as Evelyn covered her mouth, trying to hold back laughter.

Just then she felt a tug on her hair. She turned around, momentarily forgetting who was behind her before realizing it was Luke.

"What," she hissed at him, her eyes narrowing at him daringly. The audacity of him to even think he had the right to touch her.

And to him, it was a sight to see no doubt. She was just so small. And yet, she had so much personality, so much fire in her itty bitty 5'5 body.

"Nothing princess," he smirked as she scoffed and turned around.

Luke held back laughter as he reached out for a tuft of her brown hair, tugging on it again. She swiftly turned around and put her hands on his desk.

"You asshole," she said between her teeth. Luke glared at her.

"Bitch," he said as he spat out his tongue in a childish manner. She did the same as Mr. Hallberg came up to them, tapping the ruler against Luke's desk.
