The next week of school came too soon in Luke's opinion.

He'd have to see the wretched girl again, and he wanted absolutely nothing to do with the girl and all her drama. Especially with everything he said to her the last time he saw her; once she told Michael, it would be yet another fight.

Not to mention that he hated school.

He sighed, closing the door of his car and throwing his bag over his shoulder. He turned his head to look at the car next to his to see it was the infamous yellow Hummer. Calum was probably already here, along with the rest of the crew.

He tapped the car keys to make sure it was locked, and he was reassured with a beep and a flicker of the headlights that indeed it was.

Luke pushed one of the doors open, then held it for the person behind him. He turned towards the senior's area of the school and walked down the hall of lockers.

He saw a couple of meters away Hailey and Ashton. Luke was pleasantly surprised to see Hailey against the locker with Ashton leaning over her with a hand next to her head. Ashton took a lock of Hailey's hair and wrapped it around his finger gently, causing a red blush to appear over her face.

Finally, Luke thought, at least they are getting somewhere.

It was obvious to the rest of the world, to everyone except them. Hailey was a short but fiery blonde, and she was perfect for Ashton. They looked so cute together and he was glad they were getting somewhere.

Ashton needs some kick-ass personality in his life.

He didn't want to walk up to them and ruin it, so he turned and made his way to Michael and his horrid sister, who was talking to Calum about something. Completely disregarding the girl, he faced Michael and hesitantly smiled.

"Hey mate what's up?" Michael asked giving him a side hug.

Evelyn didn't tell Michael what I said then?
Luke thought to himself.

Speaking of the witch, he turned to listen in on the conversation between Evelyn and Calum. They were talking about Ashton and Hailey.

"I know! They're so cute together," Evelyn sighed as she leaned against Calum, both of their gazes towards Hailey and Ashton.

Michael laughed at her words, just as the bell rang. Luke walked into the homeroom he shared with Ashton as they waited the six minutes for first period.

He had Michael as well in his homeroom, which he was thankful for, since homeroom would've been awful without Michael's constant jokes and words of sarcasm.

No matter how Luke was feeling, Michael always made him feel better by, ironically, making fun of himself. It was good to poke at yourself sometimes.

Soon enough it was first period: math. He groaned, remembering he sat behind Evelyn. Luke walked in and greeted the teacher with his classic smile before dropping it as his gaze swept over the girl.

She was politely talking to the person next to her, helping them correct their notes like the good person she was.

What a good girl.

He scoffed and sat down in his seat, pulling out his math supplies and began to copy some notes from the teacher. God, he hated her.

Evelyn was tapping her foot, shaking his desk along with hers as he groaned.

He tore one of his papers and crumbled it, throwing it at her head. She faced him with a squint in her eyes.

"What," she asked in an accusative tone, as if it was not a question at all.
