(6) Fights,Abs and New Fam!

Monday afternoon everyone that was doing Broadway/dance numbers had been rehearsing for two hours. Frankie snapped a photo of the boys shirtless and sweaty. 

She posted it to her social media tagging everyone including Ellie with the caption.

"What we get to practice with?? Lay off the crunches boys." 

The boys automatically got the tag. 

"Hey franks you lay off the crunches." Caleb said 

She stuck her tongue out at him. "Later baby." Caleb said with a wink. 

"You two get a room." Paisley said 

"Really? You wanna say that about me and Cal. What about the two love birds over there?" Frankie said 

"You leave us out of it. We get rooms..we get all kinds of rooms." Colton said 

Ellie kissed him before joining the girls on stage as they did a number to Dancing Queen. The boys snapped pictures of their girls and posted them with captions. 

"Talk about what fine women we get to practice with. Especially my girl." Colton said 

That afternoon after practice Ellie was in her room brushing her hair after she took a shower when she got home. 

"Here Ellie." Bucky said as he came in and laid the diaper bag on the stool. 

"He's asleep?" She said 

"Yeah daycare said he didn't nap well." He said 

"Okay well bye thanks for picking him up." She said 

"Elle can we talk?" He said 

"About what?" She said as she began to braid her hair. 

"About us.." he said 

"There is no us James." She said 

"But Ellie..I know what I did was wrong and I've said I'm sorry a thousand times." He said 

"And I don't care. You cheated!" She snapped 

"Ellie and I said I was sorry I made mistake." He said 

"And I said it was over. For a long time James I wanted to be your girl since I was 12 years old that's all I wanted! I liked you for some unknown  reason as much as you were a total ass to me I liked you! But all you've done is prove to me that you just don't care who you hurt!" She yelled 

"Elliot Katherine that's not true! I do care about you!" He yelled 

"No you don't! You act like you do! But then you turn around and do something else to hurt me! Just like the debutante ball when you chose to bail on me! You cheating on me with Morgan is just like that! Choosing a cheerleader over me.." she said 

"Ellie! I've said I'm sorry! It was a mistake a accident!" He yelled 

"It's not an accident or a mistake! You deliberately did it! I know all about the saying drunken words are sober thoughts! Your dick didn't accidentally fall into her vagina! You did it! Cause it's what you do. Once you get tired of a girl you move on." She yelled 

"Oh my god! Ellie do not remember me saying that I love you! Fighting you to stay and go to college with me because you scare me!" He said 

"It was all a lie!" She yelled

"It wasn't a lie Elliot I do love you I still love you. And I don't want you dating Colton! I want you with me!" He yelled 

"Well I don't love you! You have no idea what that night was like for me! I thought you had gotten into a drunken car accident I was calling the police and hospitals. You were suppose to meet me and Cam at the fire work show and you never showed up. That's why I showed up that morning at Steve's lake house and I find you in bed with Morgan naked and condoms on the floor. And she informs me that it had been going to for two months before I found you two." She said as she wiped tears. 

"Ellie..I..I'm sorry. Just please forgive me and take me back." He said 

"No. I will not be that girl. If you want to be Mr Football the player then go. Go be that person! Cause I don't believe you when you say that you love me not just because you cheated! But because you told me right after my mom died that you didn't believe in the fairytale. So go be the James you've always been. Mr Popular and I'll go be with someone who isn't ashamed to be with me..who wants to be with me. And someone who isn't afraid to be seen with me" she said 

"I never said that I was ashamed to be seen with you. I wanted you Ellie I still want you." He said as tears fell down his cheek as he wiped them and walked out. 

Ryan tried to stop him to calm down before he left. But Bucky pushed him away and got in his truck to go home. When he got home he bypassed his parents and his little sister. He slammed his bedroom door. 

In the quiet of the Barnes household a loud crash of glass and a thud filled the whole house. Bucky knocked over his football trophy case. He began to throw them all against the wall as well as the plaques. 

James came running upstairs he found Bucky knees curled up to his chest rocking back and forth as he cried. 

"Son what the hell? James talk to me..son use your words." James said as he kicked away some trophies as he made his way to him. 

Winnie came up stairs and she saw the mess. The football posters had been ripped off the college pendants the jersey from football camp thrown on the floor. 

"Bubba bubba." His little sister Taylor June said in between Winnie's legs. 

"Come on little TJ let's let daddy take care of bubba." Winnie said as she picked up their little two year old. 

Eventually Bucky was asleep in James' arms. Ryan came in after Winnie made a phone call. 

"What the hell happened here?" He whispered as he helped James put Bucky on the bed. 

They shut the door. "What happened at your house?" James said 

"He dropped off Cam. They got into it before he left I tried to make him stay to cool off but he ignored me. She was screaming about how he cheated on her and how she didn't want to get back together." Ryan said 

James looked down. "That's why he's upset. Ever since he broke up with Morgan he's been in a mood." James said 

"I'm sorry. She just isn't ready." Ryan said 

"Ryan he's just gotta accept that. And he will eventually learn that what he did was wrong." Winnie said 

"I know. And I'm sure it doesn't feel to good that she has moved on and is dating someone new." He said 

"Yeah. Do you want to stay for dinner?" James said 

"No actually when your wife called I was leaving to help Ophelia pack. So I can't stay but I already gave you all the invite to the engagement party." Ryan said 

"Yes we have it right here on the fridge. We are so happy for you Ry." Winnie said 

"Yes we are." James said as he hugged him. 

They walked out together discussing Friday night's game since they were still the coaches at the highschool.

Ellie had Colton come over they were watching a movie as she had now 9 month old Cam laying on her chest. He kissed her "You are amazing mom by the way. And he's just jealous cause you have moved on that's all it is baby." he whispered 

"I know." She said as she laid her head on his shoulder.
