(15) Promposals and Drama

Two weeks later 

Ellie was sitting in the library when Natasha sat beside her with Wanda and Yelena. 

"Oh hey girls." She said 

"Hey..we haven't really had a chance to talk." Nat said

"About what?" She said as she looked at all three of them. 

"What happened with you and Barnes? I mean we know he cheated but how did you find out?" Wanda said 

Ellie looked down.

"That day..it was July 4th. It was Steve's birthday and he told me that he was just going to go for a little bit. That he would meet me at the drive in. He promised me he wouldn't drink he would stay for a few hours and leave. I waited and waited for him to show up I called his phone he wouldn't answer his phone. By the time the show was over I started to get really scared that something had happened to him. That maybe he wrecked or did drink and wrecked. I called police stations the hospital. I couldn't sleep I just sat by the window waiting for him to come home. By the next morning I was still alone in our bed. So I thought well maybe I'm over reacting maybe he did drink and passed out." She said 

"What happened after that." Yelena said 

"I asked Winnie to watch Cam. And I drove out to the lake house. I was relieved when I seen his truck still sitting in the driveway. Everyone was still hungover and not really paying attention to me. So I started checking bedrooms.." 

*flashback* 

"Buck? Where are you?" She said 

She finally opened up the last door. When she opened the door she saw the clothes Bucky had on when he left on the floor. Along with a black dress with a red bra and red thong on the floor. Condoms on the floor. 

"Bucky?"  Ellie said with a shaky voice.

His head popped up as he rolled over and sat up. 

"Ellie..I ..I can explain. Just don't leave.." he said 

"How could you! " she snapped 

"Ellie darlin please just calm down." He said as tears formed. 

Morgan sat up rubbing her temples. "Whose yelling baby?" 

"Her! You cheated on me with her?!" Ellie yelled 

Bucky got up and pulled on his boxers. "Ellie wait and we can talk about this.." as he followed her out.

"Ellie.." he yelled as he ran back into the room pulling on his shorts. 

He ran outside and caught her door before she got in. 

"Ellie baby please it was a mistake.." he said 

"We are over..I don't want to be with you anymore. I'm moving back to my dads and you and I can discuss custody arrangements later." She said 

"Ellie don't do this. I love you baby please.." he said as she shut the door. 

He watched as her car disappear. 

Back to present day,

"Wow.." Yelena said 

"How did Morgan tell you how it was going on before that." Nat said 

"She sent me a Facebook message telling me. She even showed me "receipts" and I read through the screenshots of it all. He talked about how he wasn't happy anymore and how being with me wasn't what he wanted right now. That he just wanted to have fun again." She said 

"Oh Ellie.." Nat said 

"But it's okay. I'm not everyone's cup of tea. I mean heck I wasn't even what my mom wanted in a daughter. Why should it not surprise me that he basically said I wasn't the girlfriend he wanted. He's almost just like her." She said as she gathered up her books. 

"Well I know you have your own friends but we are here for you too." Wanda said 

"Thanks girls." She said as the bell rang. 

The girls left the library not knowing that Bucky had heard the whole conversation. He was on the other side of the bookshelf looking for a book. But when he heard them talking he sat down and listened. He wiped tears and sniffled the rest back. 

He went to the bathroom splashed water on his face to calm himself down. His phone went on with a notification. 

"Paisley Jones is live." 

Bucky opened it up to see what was going on. Colton was on the stage in the auditorium as he began to sang "Dance With Me." By Morgan Evans. As Ellie was coming down the aisle the curtain opened up behind him to reveal the words PROM?

Ellie had tears as she wiped them and walked up to him. "Yes." She said as she kissed him.

Everyone was snapping pictures or recorded the whole thing. Colton also got her more rings and a crown. 

That night Bucky came by her house to drop off diapers and his antibiotics that he picked up for her while she was at practice. 

"Thanks.." she said as she laid them on her desk. 

"We need to talk." He said 

"About what?" She said 

"Where are you going to college?" He said 

"Vanderbilt in TN. Why?" She said 

"Seriously?!" He said 

"What's the big deal? We can meet on Sundays at the North/South Carolina lines." She said 

"You are not taking him to TN." He said 

"The custody arrangement we have will work. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal cause I figured we could work around your football schedule." She said 

"My football schedule?" He said

"Yeah aren't you going on a football scholarship?" She said 

"Shows you just how far up Colton's ass you are. I'm not playing anymore I quit after homecoming." He said 

"Oh well see it works out then we don't have to change anything." She said 

"No..we do. You are choosing lover boy over your son." He said 

"James! I am not choosing anyone over my son! Don't you sit here and accuse me of that. I am not my mother." She said 

"I'm done with the games. I'm taking you to court and getting full custody. He stays in GA and he can stay with you on the weekends." He said 

She smacked him hard across the face. "Go ahead! Try and take him away! I hate you so much right now!" She yelled 

"Yeah! Well I don't like you very much right now either! You claim you aren't like your mother! But she was a bitch and you are turning into her bitch attitude lately! This isn't you Elliot!" He yelled.

"You are being a complete ass!" She yelled 

"Yeah cause I'm always the asshole right! That's what you told the girls today! Let's not forget that it was me Elliot! It was me that was constantly flushing your razor blades! It was me that ran and got help when you ate that almond! It was me that held your hand when you got stitches here after that bitch smacked you! But yes let's call James an asshole!" He yelled at her. 

"Don't you dare! I was in love with you and had been since I was 12! But there is always a prettier  girl than me! I'm a tattle tale cause I caught you having sex at 14! It hurt me James when you started bringing girlfriends to the camping trips! All I ever wanted was you to see me! But I'm always the last girl right?" She said 

Bucky swallowed hard as his dad's words echoed in his head. He walked out and left as he was driving around. A memory came flooding back. The camping trip when he saw she was upset and hid in her tent and fell asleep. She wasn't hiding to read her book she was hiding the tears. 

He drove out to the campgrounds and sat on the docks. Ellie was laying in Colton's arms since he rushed over when she called him hysterical.
