Two days later
Sam was checking Ellie's vitals and chart notes. He made her his top priority patient he hadn't been home in two days. As he was writing he saw movement.
"Ellie Kate.." he said
She looked confused as she looked around. "Ellie Kate do you know where you are?"
She tried to say the word hospital and ask who is Ellie Kate but all that came out was gibberish.
Sam swallowed hard. He ran to the nurse's station to get a white board. He gave it to Ellie.
She wrote the word "hospital" even if it was a little messed up.
The next thing she wrote "who is Ellie Kate."
"That's your name. Do you know when your birthday is?" Sam said
She shook her head no.
He went back to the nurse's station. "Page Dr Barnes for me. Dr Natasha Murdoc." Sam said as his stomach was nothing but a pit.
Natasha joined him first cause Bucky was in surgery.
"Do you remember her?" Sam pointed to Natasha
Ellie shook her head no.
"Hey I got your page. Ellie! You are awake! Oh my god I am so happy that you are awake." Bucky said as he came into the room.
"Who are you?"
Bucky read the board he looked at Sam. "What did you do?" He said
"I don't know..it could be aphasia." Sam said
They told Ryan not to bring the kids they had Ryan and Colton come in as well as the parents and the others. She couldn't remember anyone in that room. Colton and Bucky both ran out of the room.
They had Danica come in and check her over. They re did scans as Bucky and Colton came back into the room. Danica read over Sam's notes from the surgery last.
"It's just a severe case of Aphasia guys. It's more severe in patients who have seizures while they are sleeping. She had a seizure during the surgery not mention she crashed. So everything for her is going to be a little fuzzy right now. Just give her a few more days and she will be back to normal." Dr Danica Keller said as she came into the waiting room.
