Chapter 5

I wake up to a lot of noises and argument going on from the corridor. I open the door to see Pepper throwing suitcases over the stairs railing "I told you we are leaving this place because you seriously lost your mind" Pepper yells "Pep?" I ask "did I wake you honey?" She asks "what is going on?" I ask "your father gave our home address to the whole press because the terrorist hurt Happy" Pepper says and my eyes widen

"He did what? Wait Happy's hurt? Where have I been?" I ask confused "you have been in your room for a week, I thought you knew" Pepper says and I blink a few times before shaking my head "dad are you OUT of your damn mind? Who the hell is this?" I ask looking at a woman standing in front of my dad while he's in his suit

"Yeah who the hell is this? We taking ex girlfriends home visits now?" Pepper asks and I cross my arms at the same time as Pepper does "who is this?" The woman asks "I could as you the same question lady, dad elaborate?" I ask "New years hookup a long time ago" my dad says and I stare at him "we are going away" Pepper says and I nod "what makes you think it's okay to threaten a terrorist" I complain silently to my dad

"Moment of weakness" my father says and I roll my eyes "moment of weakness? That's just plain stupid, I leave you alone for a week and come back to you inviting a terrorist attack?" I ask annoyed seconds before an explosion happens sending us all flying backwards. I create a shield to prevent me from getting crushed while my dad sends his suit onto Pepper who saved him from getting crushed

"Get out of here both of you" my dad yells "not without you" yell back the floor between my father and I break "go now Penelope" my father yells, Pepper grabs my arm and flies us to safety "no Pepper let me go" I yell getting flashbacks from New York, suddenly the suit comes off Pepper flying back inside minutes before the house collapses "no" I yell flying up trying to look for him

"Anything?" Pepper asks onde I land but I shake my head "this can't be happening again" I cry "we need to get you to safety, this much cameras on you will being problems" Pepper whispers and I look into her eyes "after what just happened to dad I can't leave you" I say quietly "listen I will be fine you are in a more dangerous place than me" Pepper says and I shake my head

"Fury is already here" she says looking behind me "you will get into that car with him and you will go, do you hear me" Pepper says "Pepper" i say sadly "I might have lost your father Penny, I am not losing you too. Go with Fury" she says and I nod running towards his car "she'll be safe don't worry" fury says and I nod getting in the car "and so will you" he says and I silently cry in the passenger seat "this is not the end of your father" Fury says and I look over at him "he has been secretly building something, I'm sure it was aimed not only at the others but at you too" Fury says and I frown

I stay silent the whole ride, I know if I open my mouth I will just start crying again. "This is the avengers headquarters, with bedrooms and living rooms  and training rooms, he made sure to add a pool outside knowing how much you love swimming" Fury says and I give him a small smile "there are some of your clothes here already, he bought you a new wardrobe for this place so you didn't have to bring things back and forth" Fury says and I nod

He opens a door revealing a huge bedroom with a queen bed in the middle and LED lights surrounding the corners of the ceiling, a wall of pictures of us and Pepper on the wall directly over my bed "he really knows me" I say smiling "he's out there" Fury reassures me "thank you Fury" I say "nobody is in here yet but the whole place is protected on the outside so that nobody strange comes through those doors" Fury says and I nod

He leaves and I sit on my bed holding my phone waiting for it to ring, I decide to have a shower and get comfortable as I wait for any news on my father and Pepper, that's when my phone rings "Pepper finally, do you have any news?" I ask "he's alive, we don't have to worry about it he's going to fix things and he will come back. I will be with you soon too but not just yet okay?" Pepper says "are you safe?" I ask "I am, your father is too" Pepper says before hanging

I know now that he is okay but I still have my doubt specially being in this place alone, it's a pretty big place. Bigger than my other home but it's hidden from view, nobody even knows I'm here. I get up deciding to explore the place, there are names on each door. "Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff, Thor, Steve Rogers" I say out loud "and who the hell is Peter Parker and Sam Wilson" I stare confused

The training room was huge and stacked with some robots, it looked great. The pool here was even bigger than the one back bom too, the party room was great I could already imagine the parties we will have here, meeting room had a massive table going down the middle, living room had a semi circle sofa pointed at a huge TV.

I head down to the party room and walk straight to the bar instantly grabbing a bottle of Tequila. I turn the music up and begin to dance around and drink.
