"Oh lunch, I am starving" I say smiling as I enter the dinning room "Nat" I say excited to see her "mission was cancelled, turned out to be nothing" Natasha says as I sit next to her "I am trying to get Steve a hookup or a date" Natasha says and I choke on my coffee "are you okay?" Natasha asks and I nod "I think that's a great idea" I say and Steve raises an eyebrow
"Getting me a hookup or a date is a good idea?" Steve asks me "why not? You're single, you're hot" I say with a shrug taking a bite out of my toast "Maybe he should hook up with you" Natasha jokes and we break into a laugh "yeah no, not gonna happen" I say "really?" Natasha asks "yes really, my dad just allowed me to come out as his daughter to everyone. His one rule is don't get involved with anyone from here, and I don't want to" I say and Steve looks at me slightly offended
"Is that so?" Steve asks and I nod "you're just hurt about what happened with Theo" Natasha says and I roll my eyes "Theo was nothing, Theo meant nothing" I say standing up "Penny" Natasha says looking guilty "I know you didn't meant it" I say rolling my eyes "I just can't deal with the mention of his name" I say running my hand through my hair "what did he do?" Steve asks
"Nothing" I say walking out "Penny" I hear my dad call, I turn around "this Theo" my dad says and I stop "dad can we please not have this conversation" I say looking into his eyes "I'm going to kill him" my dad says and I shake my head "it's fine" I say with a shrug "just forget about it okay" I say walking into my room
Before the party
I have a shower and get change into a red off the shoulder dress that comes to mid thigh. I curl the end of my hair creating soft waves before adding a winged eyeliner. I put on some red heels and walk out of my room "Hey Steve" I say as he walks past me in silence "Steve" I call after him grabbing his arm, he turns around looking down at me "I thought you didn't want to get involved with anyone from here" Steve says snatching is arm away from me
"Steve it's not like that, we're just fooling around. It's not because it's you, I just, I can't be with anyone serious. I thought you understood that, it's why this happened in the first place" I whisper "yeah you're right about that" Steve says softening up "just fooling around" he says and I nod
"Let's go we have a party to get to" Steve says letting go of my face and we walk into the party room "hey you two" Natasha says handing us a drink "so um I am starting to have an idea of who to introduce you to Steve" Natasha says as I down by drink "I already told you, I'm not interested in being with anyone right now" Steve says and I look up
"Maybe being with nobody isn't such a bad idea" I say with a shrug "I have to agree with that" Steve says "plus sharing a life with someone will most likely just end in pain and i believe that we can just- you got to be fucking kidding me" I say looking behind Steve to see Theo and Sharon walking in "Penelope" Natasha says, I turn around annoyed "Ellie?" I hear Theo's voice say from behind me
"Nope" I reply instantly "you can't ignore me forever" Theo says and I laugh "but I think I can" I say with a shrug, I watch as someone sits next to Steve "hi I'm Sharon" she says to Steve "weren't you two together?" Natasha asks "no, just that one time. It was really my fault" Theo replies "oh yeah the one time when you cheated on me with her" I say finally turning to look at him "come on darling, let me talk to you in private" he says and I roll my eyes "no" Natasha says
"Ellie, please" Theo says and I take a deep breath, I glance over to see Steve and Sharon flirting which made me angrier than it should have "fine" I say while getting up, we walk out into the balcony together "I know i hurt you" Theo says "I would've had to care for you to hurt me" I reply "listen it was a mistake, Sharon was a mistake" Theo says and I laugh
"A mistake? How do you accidentally sleep with someone Theo?" I ask angrily "you know how things are, you worked for my dad at that tower. Part of your job was to protect me, and here we are. You broke me Theo, you broke my trust, you slept with another woman and all for what?" I ask "I still love you Ellie" Theo says and I shake my head, he rests his hand on my cheek.
"I never stopped loving you" Theo whispers leaning in for a kiss "no Theo" I say silently seconds before his lips finds mine, they move is sync it felt familiar yet painful but I didn't want to stop. I loved him once and he broke me, I push him away and slap him in the face "you stay away from me" I say shinning my electric blue eyes "or I swear on everything I have you won't come out the other end" I threaten before walking away
I enter the party room to see Natasha looking pleased, I follow her eyes to see Sharon and Steve kissing in the corner. I stare at them for a few seconds before turning around "change your mind?"
Theo asks "no" I say pulling him into a rough kiss "but this is the last time" I say as we enter my room "just one last time then" Theo replies kissing me
