It's been two weeks since I've been rescued and I've been in bed, barely eating the whole time "so you want to go to the pool?" Steve asks me and I shake my head "water comforts you" Steve says and I shrug "I don't want to Steve" I say looking away from him "then we can just sit here" he says with a small smile and leans back against the headboard looking down at me "Steve you don't have to stay here with me you know" I say
"I don't but I will" Steve says with a shrug, the boys and Natasha haven't left my side and I am grateful for that "and where back" Peter says walking in with Bucky and Natasha carrying bags of snacks "we got you some nerds and crisps and chocolate" Peter says "I got you a cake" Bucky says and I look at him confused as does Steve "a cake?" Steve asks "she likes cake" Bucky says with a shrug "she does" Natasha admits
"You guys don't have to do this" I say as they sit down on their mattresses around my bed except for Steve and Natasha who remains on either side of me on my bed "oh stop that" Peter says and I raise an eyebrow "you're a mess and you have been through some pretty bad things. We as your friends are going to stay right here" Peter say "and I don't wanna hear you complaining" Natasha says and I look around at them
"Thank you" I say, I look over at Steve who was already looking down at me. I rest my head on his shoulder and hold onto his hand "everyone else is here" Steve thinks "i know" i reply in his head "you don't mind?" Steve thinks "nope" i reply "are you cuddling?" Natasha asks "no, he's actually very comfortable" I say with a smile
A couple of hours later I am finally tired of being in bed "you're getting up?" Peter yells while jumping up "I am" I say and Steve looks at me happy before kissing me in front of everyone "ohh" Natasha says surprised, Steve looks down at me in shock "I knew it" Bucky says "you know nothing" I say "I can literally just erase it" I say "we won't saying" Peter says "are you guys together together?" Natasha asks
"Something like that" I say with a small smile "but I didn't want anyone to know because when people find out things get complicated but Steve outed us" I say "sorry" he says looking down at me and I smile "but my father can't know, not yet he will freak. You guys know what he did to Bucky when he saw me in his room" I say "all that because she helped me with a nightmare" Bucky says and I laugh
"So this doesn't leave this room" I warn them "deal?" I ask and they nod "okay now I think I want some sunlight" I say looking out to see rain pouring down "looks like we're going out in the rain instead" I say walking out with everyone behind me, I walk out into the garden and stand with my arms stretched out while looking up with my eyes closed
"She's always loved the rain" I hear my father say "hey dad" I say turning around "it's good to see you back on your feet" my dad says and I nod "I knew you would be out here when the rain started" my dad says and I laugh "the rain it's so calming isn't it" I say smiling "are you guys just going to stand there?" I ask pulling them out using my power
"It's cold" Peter complains "it's nice" I say "well I don't like rain so I'm going to go" my father says and I laugh. I lay down on the mud just enjoying the rain, I feel someone join me on the floor "they left" Steve says, I turn to look at him "you made us official" Steve says and I let out a chuckle "I did" I say "I didn't think you wanted anything serious" Steve says and I shrug
"I didn't, I just can't help feeling this way about you Steve and it's driving me crazy, I didn't know what to do with it" I say "so you like me back then" he says "I always have, feelings scare me" I say with a small laugh "that's because the last person you dated was a horrible guy. I would never do that to you" Steve says and I smile "so we're dating now?" I ask "looks like it yes" Steve says and I smile
"Come here" Steve says getting up and putting his hand out for me which I grab, he pulls me closer to him and we begin to sway slowly from side to side. Dancing but with no music just the soothing sound of the rain "I knew I liked you from that first dance we had. You were wearing that blue dress, you looked beautiful" Steve says and I smile look into into his eyes
"When I saw you with Sharon that night, I wanted to strangle her" I say and Steve laughs "I know she wasn't so bad, she wasn't even the one to blame for Theo's actions but seeing her with you two? It felt like someone stabbed me over and over again" I say "I felt the same when I saw you with Theo, maybe part of me did that to make you jealous" Steve says and I smile
"We're pretty stupid for that aren't we" I say and he nods "we could've avoided so much by just admitting it" Steve says and I nod "at least it brought us to her now" I say tiptoeing to kiss him, he cups my face with his hands deepening the kiss. We head back to my room smiling like idiots, the mattresses were gone along with Bucky, Peter and Natasha
We head into the bathroom to have a shower, we stand under the water in each other's arms just enjoying the feeling of finally pushing aside our stubbornness. After our shower we walk out and Steve looks down into my eyes before kissing me passionately, the kiss becomes more intense as Steve lowers me onto the bed tracing my sides with his fingers. He pulls away looking into my eyes as if asking for permission and I kiss him switching with him so I was now on top
The kiss becomes rougher but still keeping the same passion mixed with lust, a craving each other. This time, it was different though it wasn't just angry or just fun. It was more than that, it made me feel something I have never felt before
