Chapter 27

"Get up we have a meeting" I hear Bucky say, i open my eye slightly to see him standing at the end of my bed "That looks so much weirder now that i found out you're my brother" I say looking at him "Eh well not as awkward as it was for me trying to go after you" Bucky says disgusted "You tried to go after her?" Steve asks jealous "You were with Sharon" Bucky says "And i rejected you" I say and he shrugs 

"We'll meet you there" I say "No, if I leave you two alone you will miss the meeting" He says sitting on my bed "Can you at least turn around? I'm not dressed" I say "Fine" Bucky says covering his face, i get some clothes and run to the bathroom to get ready. Once i come out Steve is already dresses and just goes into the bathroom to brush his teeth "You're a weird version of a brother" I say sitting next to Bucky "Now we know why you were the only one to stop my nightmares" Bucky says and i smile 

"Let's go?" Steve asks and i nod, we head to the meeting room "Oh look they're on time" Natasha says and i roll my eyes "What's up?" I ask sitting down "We have been able to find Rumlow" My father says and i look around "Hydra, infiltrated into SHIELD" Steve whispers and i nod "Sam, Steve, Wanda and Natasha. This is your mission" My father says "And me?" I ask "No, not with them. I have another mission for us" My father says and i nod 

"You four are heading to Lagos, we believe he's trying to get some sort of weapon" My father says "We have been tracking him for 6 months now we can mess this up" Steve says "And our mission?" I ask my father "We have found un underground bunker underneath the one you were kept in, must have been where you biological parents hid during the explosion. We can't let anyone else get a hold of anything from there" My father says "Okay" I say and he nods 

We all head into our own rooms to get ready for the missions. I change into my suit and walk out to see Steve also walking out of his room "Stay safe okay?" I say pulling him into a hug "Come back in one piece" I say "Don't blow anything up while i'm gone" Steve jokes and i look up tiptoeing to kiss him before pulling away to see Natasha "Nat" I say walking over to her and hugging her "We'll be back within two weeks" Natasha says and i nod with a small smile. I head outside with them and say bye to Wanda and Sam too before watching them get onto the quinjet

"Relax they got this" Bucky says and i nod "I know" I say "Ready to go?" My father asks in his suit with Rhodes by his side "Will you guys be okay here? With Clint, Bruce and Thor gone too. It's just you Vision and Peter" I say and he smiles "I'll be okay" He says and i nod before flying up "What happened to your blue thingy?" My father asks "The air levitates me now, i can sneak up on people better. Cool right?" I say smiling while doing flips 

"You just broke gravity" My father says and i shrug "Let's go?" I ask and they nod, i wave at Bucky and we fly towards the bunker which honestly was a very long flight "What are you doing?" My father asks me, i am basically just laying there allowing the air to carry me "I'm just relaxing" I say turning "You're meant to be flying" Rhodes says and i laugh turning around and imitating superman "Yes Colonel sir" I mock him and i know he's rolling his eyes 

"Here we are" My father says as we land "I really blew shit up" I say looking around, i take a deep breath and get on my knees "What are you doing?" My father asks "You seem to ask me that way too often father. But tell me, have you been able to find a way into the bunker?" I ask "No, it's why we called this a mission and not a visit to an underground bunker" My father says opening his helmet, i roll my eyes and put my hand in the soil "She's getting weirder, and i blame you" Rhodes says to my father 

I take a deep breath and concentrate on where the earth stops, suddenly a loud noise indicates an open passage has been revealed "I'm not weird" I say cleaning my hands on my suit and walking down the stairs, i shine my electric blue energy mixed with a blue flame to allow us to see down here "This is where they experimented on me" I say looking at a dungeon and a lab "Look at this" I say finding tubes filled with a purple liquid 

"I think this is what created me" I say surprised "How do you know?" Rhodes asks "It has my real name on it" I say "Caroline Schmidt?" Rhodes asks "Schmidt as is the guy that Steve almost died trying to kill" Rhodes asks and i look at him looks awkward "My great great grandfather" I say awkwardly "You're dating your great great grandfathers enemy?" Rhodes asks "Now you just made it sound disgusting thank you" I say 

"That is not the point here" My father says taking the tubes from me "If they had this, why would they want to take your powers away" My father says "Maybe only someone like me can destroy someone like me" I say "Yes but you bleed like a human and you heal like a human" My father says "Not from fire, and i can't drown. They protect me" I say, i walk around and see someone in a tank of some weird liquid 

"Am i going crazy or does she look just like me?" I ask staring at the girl inside the tank "Dad?" I say and he walks over to me "She looks just like you" My father says "Except you see she has a little beauty spot on her cheek right there" Rhodes points out "So she's like my twin or like my clone?" I ask "I think she's your twin" My father says "Am i just going to keep receiving siblings left right and centre?" I ask "We need to take her to the headquarters" My father says and i nod 

"I can take her, you guys take the tubes and whatever else you find" I say using my powers to get her tank out and fly back to the headquarters confused about our findings.
