"Rhodey" I say smiling while walking in "How have you been?" Rhodes asks as i pull him into a hug "So look like you found him when we mostly needed him" Rhodes says and i laugh "Actually no, turns out Steve sent my dad a phone where he could just call" I say with a straight smile "That's cruel" Rhodes says "Imagine that" I say with a shrug "I got to take a call, you want to join Bruce in the lab?" Rhodes says and i nod before walking away
"You think right now is the best time for you to rain hell on Steve for that phone?" Bruce asks "When will it ever be a good time with us" I ask with a small laugh "I spent two years Bruce, two restless years just making sure he was okay and he just forgot me, i get it he was busy but it wouldn't hurt. What the hell is this?" I ask finding a bunch of letters on the counter "I don't think he didn't forget you" Bruce says
"Well. You guys really look like crap. Must've been a rough couple of years." I hear Rhodes "Are you ready to see them?" Bruce asks walking away "Go ahead" I say with a small smile before following close behind "Yeah, well, the hotels weren't exactly five star." Sam says " Uh, I think you look great" Bruce speaks up "Uh... heh... Yeah. I'm back." Bruce says
"Hi Bruce" Natasha says "Nat" Bruce says "This is awkward" Sam says "Not as awkward as now is it? You have a beard now" I say walking into the room "Nellie" Steve says surprised "Steve" I say walking over to him with a smile before slapping him across the face, everyone looks at me surprised "You gave my dad a phone to reach you on and nothing to me?" I yell
"I don't know what kind of thing you had with Peggy in 19 whatever but this is not how it works with me" I say annoyed, Steve grabs me by the waist and pulls me closer kissing me softly "I missed you" He says and i instantly soften up "I missed you too" I say roll my eyes and pulling away. Sam lets out a laugh "Hey Sammy" I say "Natasha" I say with a smile "Not gonna hit us too will you?" Natasha jokes and i smile
"Shall we start this meeting?" Vision asks and i nod as i see Wanda coming in "So we gotta assume they're coming back, right?" Rhodes says and we nod "And they can clearly find us" Wanda says and i nod "We need all hands on deck. Where's Clint?" Bruce asks "I forgot to tell you" I say embarrassed "After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal. It was too tough on their families, they're on house arrest." Natasha says
"Ant-man" Steve replies "There's an Ant-Man and a Spider-Man and two of her? Okay, look... Thanos has the biggest army in the universe. And he is not gonna stop until he... he gets... Vision's Stone." Bruce says "He met Victoria?" Steve asks and i nod "Well then, we have to protect it." Natasha says
"No, we have to destroy it. I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head, about its nature. But also, its composition. I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something, very similar to its own signature, perhaps... its molecular integrity could fail" Vision says looking over at Wanda
"And you, with it. We're not having this conversation." Wanda says "Eliminating the stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can't get it." Vision says "That's too high a price" Wanda says "Only you have the power to pay it." Vision says and Wanda walks away "Thanos threatens half the Universe. One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him." Vision continues
"We don't do that Vision, we don't just trade lives" I say shaking my head and crossing my arms "Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions of people. Tell me, why is this any different?" Vision says "Because Steve could have just jumped out, his reason is stupidity" I say and Steve rolls his eyes "She's right" Sam says
"But you might have a choice. Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron, Tony, me, the Stone. All of them mixed together. All of them learning from one another." Bruce says "Your saying vision isn't just the stone?" Wanda asks "I'm saying that if we take out the stone, there's still a whole lot of Vision left. Perhaps the best parts." Bruce says
"Can we do that?" Natasha asks "Not me. Not here" Bruce says "You better find someone and somewhere fast. Ross isn't exactly just gonna let you guys have your old rooms back" Rhodes says and i look at Steve "I know somewhere" Steve says and i smirk knowing where we are going "I know someone who can help" I say "Who?" Natasha asks "My twin" I reply
WAKANDA
We land the Quinjet and Steve, Natasha and I walk out leading the way. I have never been here before but i have heard a lot of good things "Glad to know we aren't fighting each other this time. Your majesty" I joke putting my hand out for T-Challa "Seems like I'm always thanking you for something" Steve says "This is Okoye, she's our general" T-Challa says and i shake her hand
"You're the one who called our king a swine" She says and i laugh awkwardly exactly "I say "This is my sister, Victoria" I say looking back to see her and Bruce bowing awkwardly "What are you doing?" Rhodes asks mocking them, i look at Rhodes and laugh "She's a bit behind of her time, she was conserved for 14 years" I say "We don't do that here" T-Challa says
"So, how big of an assault can we expect?" T-Challa asks as we begin to walk away "Uh, sir, I think you can expect quite a big assault." Bruce says "And prepare yourselves, they're ugly" I say disgusted and they look at me "Bigger things to worry about. How we looking?" Natasha asks "You will have my Kingsguard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and..." T-Challa says
"A semi-stable, 100-year-old man." Bucky says walking past some Kingsguard taking Vision and Wanda to another facility, i squeal and run forward to him. Bucky picks me up and hugs me tight "I missed you" I say as he sets me down "Are they-" Okoye begins to say "No I'm with Steve, Bucky is my brother" I say smiling as i watch Bucky and Steve hug
"Do you think you have a room where we could talk in?" I ask T-Challa "Talk?" Bucky asks "Bucky" I say rolling my eyes "Yes talk, we spent two years away from each other. Did i mention he gave my dad a phone to contact him through and not me? The letter was beautiful and i kept it, i read it and i cried for two years. But my dad could just ring ring" I say annoyed "Give them the room" Bucky says complaining
T-Challa leads us to some sort of conference room and we turn on the lights "Two years and you got a nice beard going" I say sitting on the table with my legs crossed "I'm sorry i gave the phone to your father and not you" Steve says coming closer to me "I miss you everyday that i was away and it killed me to not be able to visit, i wrote to you every chance i got" Steve says "I never got the letters" I say looking down
"I'm here now" Steve says lifting my face up by the chin gently "In the middle of a universal war" I say "I looked for you. For two years i drank, i used my fathers programs and newspapers and the TV. I broke into the SHIELD system to see if they had anything on you, got arrested for around 3 months again. Dad got me out" I say "All of that for me?" Steve asks with a smirk
"Were you with anyone else during the two years?" Steve asks "Of course not" I say and he smirks before pulling me into a rough kiss, i wrap my legs around his waist as his hand grip onto my thighs pulling me closer to him
