Chapter 34

We get to the airport and park outside. We get out and i run to Clint hugging him "Hey kiddo" Clint says and i smile "I missed you" I say and he smiles as oi take a step back "I was with the family" Clint says "How are they?" I ask "Great" Clint says "You know I wouldn't have called If I had any other choice." Steve says "Hey man, you're doing me a favour. Besides, I owe a debt." Clint says 

"Thanks for having our back." I say looking at Wanda, my eyes fall on another man "It was time to get off my ass" Wanda says and i smile "What about our other recruit?" Steve asks "He's rarin' to go. Had to put a little coffee in him, but... he should be good." Clint says "What timezone is this?" The other guys says "Come on. Come on" Clint complains "Captain America and Penelope, no surname?" He says and I shake my head 

"Mr Lang" Steve says shaking his head " It's an honor. I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome! Captain America. I know you, too. You're great! Jeez. Ah, look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so . . . thinks for thanking of me." The man rambles on "Lang?" I ask "Scott" He says and i nod "Hey Man" He says to Sam "What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam jokes 

"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time when I" Scott says to Sam "It was a great audition, but it'll . . . it'll never happen again." Sam replies "They tell you what we're up against?" Steve asks "Something about some . . . psycho-assassins?" Scott asks "Well you're going to become a criminal" I say "Yeah, well, what else is new?" Scott says "I like this one" I say smiling

"We should get moving" Bucky says "We got a chopper lined up" Clint says, we hear a man over the speaks speaking German "They're evacuating the airport" Bucky says "My dad's here" I say "Your dad?" Scott asks "Suit up" Steve says. Steve and i jog towards a grounded chopper only for it to be shot with something, obviously my father

"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" My father says "Daughter" My father says "Dad" i reply "You're really going against me over a boyfriend" My father says "This is way bigger than Steve and i dad, way bigger than me and you" I say "What your new found brother?" My father says and i sigh "Bucky is my best friend too dad" I say 

" Hear us out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this" Steve says, T-Challa leaps over a truck "You again" I say rolling my eyes "Penelope, Captain" T-Challa says "Your highness" Steve says "Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" My father says "You're after the wrong guy." Steve says and i nod 

"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday." My father says "And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't." Steve says "Steve . . . you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?" Natasha asks "Nat" I say and she shakes her head slowly 

"All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" My father says and Peter shoots a web and steals Steve's shield before shooting our hands as if trying to handcuff us "Nice job kid" My father says and i look at Peter "Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's--it's perfect. Thank you." Peter rambles 

"Well done to you Peter" I say annoyed "Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation." My father says "You've been busy." Steve says "And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep . . . I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart." My father says 

"No you messed it up when you signed that damn thing" I say "Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys . . . with no compunction about being impolite." My father says and i walk in front of Steve and we put our hand up in the air, Clint shoots an arrow breaking up free 

"Alright Scotty" I say, Scott grows again and kicks Peter in the face, taking back Steve's shield "Whoa. What--what the hell was that?" Rhodes says "I believe this is yours, Captain America." Scott says giving Steve his shield back " Oh, great. Alright, there's two on the parking deck. One of them's Maximoff, I'm gonna grab her. Rhodey, you want to take Cap?" My father says and i raise an eyebrow

My father and Rhodes fly up "Barnes is mine" T-Challa says and i shoot him "I want to see you try" I say annoyed "Peters gone up, go after him. I got T-Challa" Steve says and i nod, i fly up after Peter who is talking way too much "Peter shut it" I say shooting him backwards sending him flying "Ouch" Peter says getting up "This isn't going to end well for you Pete and i don't want to hurt you" I warn him as he shoots me again with his webs

"Did you think i couldn't break out of the before?" I ask breaking out "Oh" Peter says and i roll my eyes shooting him backwards again "Will you tow get up?" I ask to see Bucky and Sam tied by Peters webs on the floor, Sam uses his little drone to drag Peter away "You couldn't have done that earlier?" Bucky asks "I hate you" Sam replies "You are both idiots" I say annoyed while shooting the webs away from them before helping them up 

We run out "Come on" Steve yells as Bucky, Sam and I run after Scott, Steve, Wanda and Clint. Vision sends a ray cutting through in front of us making us stop "I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good you must surrender now." Vision says "What do we do now?" Sam asks "We fight" I say "Are you okay with that?" Steve asks looking down at me 

"No" I say truthfully "Maybe you should stay out of this one" Steve says "I didn't come this far to give up Steve" I say and he gives me a short nod. We all run towards each other and begin to fight "I thought i told you to stay away from my brother" I say flying fast and throwing T-Challa away "He killed my father" He says 

"He didn't you idiot" I say annoyed shooting at him again, i feel someone grab me by the shoulder and fly me up "Seriously Rhodey?" I ask looking up "Yes seriously" He says and i begin to swing my legs "I really wouldn't want to do this but" I say and focus on the air around me making it spins us around until Rhodes finally let me go

I crash down onto a truck groaning in pain "Are you okay?" Peter asks running to me, i look at him and just shoot forcing myself up "Nellie" I hear Steve say as i get on the floor "I'm going to get you to that jet" I say to him "Get Bucky and run there" I whisper and he looks into my eyes before kissing me "I love you" He whispers "I love you too" I say "Now go" I say looking around us

I create a shield around them as they run towards the quinjet so all attacks against him were useless until my father shoots a ray at me sending me flying onto another truck "Guys" Steve says " As much as I hate to admit it, if we're gonna win this one, some of us might have to lose it." Clint says "We need a diversion, Something big" Sam says 

"I can great an earthquake or a hurricane" I suggest "That will kill all of us" Sam says and i shrug "I got something kind of big, but I can't hold it very long. On my signal, run like hell. And if I tear myself in half . . . don't come back for me." Scott says "He's gonna tear himself in half?" Bucky asks "Now that's something i want to see" I say and they look at me weirdly 

"You sure about this Scott?" Steve asks "I do it all the time. I mean once . . . in a lab. Then I passed out. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the BOSS!" Scott says before growing "Holy shit" I say with a laugh "Now that's really something Scotty" I say flying closer to Steve "Wanda" I yell as i see a building beginning to block the way to the quinjet

She nods at me and we both begin to lift it up just enough for Bucky and Steve to get through only for us to be shot by some weird ray coming from Vision. I fall to the ground screaming. The sound stops and i look up "Can you still hear me?" Steve thinks "I can" I reply "I love you, this won't be the end" Steve thinks "Don't say goodbye Steve" I say "I don't know how long i will be gone or what's going to happen after this mission" Steve thinks "We will see each other again" I reply "I love you and Bucky" I think before the connection breaks 

I look up watching their jet fly just as something comes crashing down "Rhodey?" I say getting up and flying towards them, Rhodey is on the ground with my father kneeling beside him "Sam?" I say helping him up "We got them to go" Sam says "We caused a lot of shit in the process Sammy" I say with a sigh
