Chapter 53

We are all in my father's house, I stand with Steve and the boys "Tony left us this" Pepper says putting my fathers helmet on the floor and showing a holographic projection 

"Everybody wants a happy ending, right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time. I'm hoping if you play this back, it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back, and something like a normal version of the planet has been restored. If there ever was such a thing. God, what a world. Universe, now. If you told me ten years ago that we weren't alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised. But come on, you know? The epic forces of darkness and light that have come into play. And, for better or worse, that's the reality Penny grew up in and the reality Morgan's gonna have to find a way to grow up in." My father says

I feel myself begin to cry again as Steve pulls me closer to him "So I thought I'd probably better record a little greeting... In the case of an untimely death on my part. I mean, not that, death at any time isn't untimely. This time travel thing that we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's– it's got me scratching my head about the survivability of it all. That's the thing. Then again, that's the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end." My father says while suddenly getting up walking towards his camera "What am I even trippin' for? Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to." My father says 

He leans down and smiles. He is looking straight at Morgan "I love you 3,000." My father says and the recording goes off, we all head outside. I stand in the front of the lake. Pepper lays a wreath on the lake with my father's first arc reactor, the one Pepper had framed saying 'Proof that Tony Stark has a heart'. All the heroes stand there watching the wreath float away 

Once everyone heads their own way Wanda, Clint and I stay behind "You know, I wish there was a way– that I could let her know. That we won. We did it" Clint says "She knows" Wanda says glancing over at me "They both do" Wanda says "I know" I whisper before walking away and leaving them there 

"You want to meet your nephews?" I ask Bucky, Victoria and Peter who nod "Boys come here" I say and the boys run over to me "This is Bucky Victor Rogers" I say "And this is Anthony Peter Rogers" I say smiling, i watch as their eyes fill with tears "Boys remember the story i told you about your uncles and auntie?" I ask and they nod

"This is them, Bucky, Victoria and Peter" I say with a smile "You named them after us?" Bucky asks and i nod "And that's how much you mean to me" I say with a smile

My life has been a crazy ride every since my father adopted me. I have never been more grateful for everything he has done for me. Bucky moved into the house with Victoria. Since our house was completely destroyed, Steve, the kids and I moved to a bigger house closer to Morgan and Pepper so that we were all never alone

Steve and I decided to settle down for a normal life instead of insisting in the superhero life, it was the safer choice for the boys. Who's powers had just come in may i add. Bucky Victor got my telekinesis while Anthony Peter got my elements which is seriously making parenting a lot worse and a lot more fun, now i see the struggle my father has gone through

Being an avenger was everything i wanted and more.
