Chapter 25

Week 2 - Fire

Day 1- "You think i can do this?" I ask Bruce "we have done this before with water, you know how this goes" Bruce says and i take a deep breath, we create a camp fire and i put my hand on it causing it to catch on fire "I think i - ow ow ow ow" I yell shaking my hand as the fire burns me "Okay maybe we need to take is a little slower" Bruce says checking my hand 

Later that day "What happened to your hand?" Steve asks grabbing my hand and analysing it "I burnt it when while cooking" I say pulling it away "I'll see you later?" I ask pecking his lips and running into my room

Day 2- "I think maybe don't put your hand in the fire, put it over and take it" Bruce says "Take it?" I ask "Don't do that. Just take the fire" Bruce says and i roll my eyes. I put my hand over the fire and literally begin to take it, the fire erupts all over my arm causing me to scream and shake it uncontrollably "Put it out put it out" I yell waving it around, i use my other hand to pour water all over my arm causing it to be put out, i look down as my arm "Fire needs to be earned, it's the same as water" Bruce says "It's fire, it doesn't feel" I say annoyed as the fire practically hisses at us scaring us both "Okay maybe it can" I say 

Day 3- "You're telling me it healed?" Bruce asks "Literally healed, i woke up and it was completely gone" I say "The power running through your veins, it protects you specially from the elements" Bruce says "Try take it again but this time don't be scared of it, let it come to you. just like the water" Bruce says and i nod. I stick my hand over the fire, slightly higher than the previous day. The fire becomes taller as it allows my hand deep inside it's flames, i look at Bruce smiling 

Day 4- "Bruce" I say in awe as Bruce arrives outside "You arrived before me?" He asks "I tried getting some extra hours and look" I say showing my hand in flames "No harm, completely comfortable. I think it's beginning to trust me" I say smiling

Day 5- "Okay now try grab it like we first intended it to" Bruce says and i nod, i run my hand through the fire as if scooping it up. A flame runs up my arm and onto another circling my body as if exploring a new environment. I look up at Bruce happy to see progress

Day 6- "I think you can catch on fire completely" Bruce says and i frown "remember in the water, when i shot you up and caught you. You should stand in the fire" Bruce says and i nod getting up onto my feet and stepping into the campfire only to be completely covered by it, i look at my arms and body laughing "This is unbelievable" Bruce says laughing with me  

Day 7- "No fire today" Bruce says and i nod. I sit down on the floor following the same hand motion i did with water creating a flame with my bare hands "I want to try something" I say "Are you sure you're ready?" Bruce asks and i nod "Trust me?" I ask and he smiles with a short nod. I stick out both my hands and take a deep breath creating water on one hand and a flame with the other. Bruce smiles at me impressed. I put my hand up and tilt my head with a smile, Bruce rolls his eyes and high fives my hand

Week 3 - Air

Day 1- "How are we going to work with air?" I ask "Air is all over us you just to focus on it" Bruce says "Sit down and cross your legs" Bruce says and i nod "Meditate, focus on the air you're breathing, the air going into your body" Bruce says and i nod once more. I close my eyes and take a deep breath feeling the wind slowly picking up and blowing through my hair "Just like that" Bruce whispers

Day 2- "So we meditate again?" I ask and Bruce nods "This time focus on a stronger breeze" He says and i nod sitting on the floor and breathing in and out slowly. I feel the wind beginning to pick up around me "Bruce i think I'm - HOLY SHIT" I yell as the wind becomes too strong and sends me flying up flipping around before falling on my back groaning "Maybe not so strong" Bruce says staring down at me "You think?" I ask
