No one's POV.:
It had been a few days since Seungmin had fallen ill. Yesterday he had slowly started to feel a bit better, his fever had broken around noon and he didn't need to throw up anymore. The vocalist was thrilled to be able to start working again. He felt like he had missed out on too much practice already. For today, there was a dance practice scheduled, afterwards 3racha would head to the studio while the others could work on whatever they felt like needed improvement. Seungmin was the first one up this morning, having gone to bed earlier than anyone else. He decided to cook breakfast for the group as a thank you for taking such good care of him. The next one to wake up was Minho, who smiled as he saw his dongsaeng doing alright again and went to help him prepare breakfast. One by one, the members trickled in to eat a bite before having to get ready. What was strange was that Chan was the last one to wake up. It only made sense to Seungmin, the leader had lost so many hours of sleep just to take care of him. Seungmin felt guilty, so he went to wake his hyung and make him some coffee.

In truth, Chan had been awake for hours already. He had woken up at some point during the night to his stomach cramping painfully, which made it impossible for him to go back to sleep. The leader had a gnawing feeling that he managed to catch whatever bug had plagued Seungmin the last few days. That would be the only explanation, since he didn't eat anything weird or overdid it on coffee, at least not more than he usually did. All he could do was to keep turning in an attempt to find a comfortable position. It seemed like ages went by till he finally managed to drift into a restless slumber, which ended way too soon with Seungmin shaking him. "Good morning, hyung", the younger smiled, "Everyone else is already up, so I thought I should wake you. Breakfast is ready and I made you coffee." Chan groaned before sitting up. "Morning", he hummed, his voice still thick with sleep, "You sound like you're feeling better, I'm glad." – "I am, hyung. I'm really looking forward to get back to work today", the vocalist beamed. The leader scrubbed his palms over his face and frowned: "Let me get up and we can talk about this."

After Seungmin left, Chan dragged himself out of bed and got dressed in some comfortable workout clothes. He went to the bathroom to get ready before meeting Seungmin in the kitchen. It was only now, being surrounded by the heavy scent of food, that Chan noticed how truly upset his stomach felt. There was no way he'd be able to eat breakfast this morning. Seungmin was already waiting for him and handed him a large cup of coffee, smiling brightly. Motioning to the couch, the leader went to the living room to have a talk. "I mean, your fever broke yesterday, have you thrown up again?", Chan asked, studying his dongsaeng's features. Seungmin shook his head and assured that he was feeling perfectly fine. Still, the older wasn't completely satisfied, worried the vocalist would strain himself too much too early and make himself sick again. Biting his lip Chan offered: "I'd really like you to take another day off but I know you don't want to. Still, I don't want you dancing today, so you can come and watch our dance practice but you'll be sitting out. Try to memorize as much as possible from studying the dance-racha. Afterwards you can do vocal-practice or whatever, as long as you don't strain yourself." Seungmin wasn't too satisfied but figured this was as good as a compromise as he could get and he'd go along with it. "Sounds alright, hyung. You should really go and have breakfast now, we need to leave soon", he agreed. Chan forced a smile and replied: "I will now. You should go and get ready if you want to come today." They parted ways and Chan was left with the kitchen to himself.

When he was out of sight, Chan poured the remaining half of his coffee in the sink. He felt guilty about it because Seungmin had gone out of his way for him but the bitter drink only unsettled his stomach more. He had taken a few sips during their conversation, as to not worry the younger, but he was already regretting it. Of course, he wasn't going to eat breakfast either like he had said he would. Instead he made himself a cup of ginger tea, which he quietly sipped in his room, desperately avoiding to be around food any longer. Chan wasn't stupid, he knew he'd inevitably get sick at some point, he just wanted to try and take as good care of himself as he could without anyone finding out he wasn't as healthy as he could be. Having skipped breakfast, he couldn't even take any painkillers for his head as they would only hurt his stomach more. The headache was probably caused by the fever he was sure he was running but there was nothing he could do about it without giving up his cover. Glancing longingly at his bed one last time, he sighed and joined his members for practice.
