Sickie: Chan

Sickie/Little: Felix

Caregiver: Hyunjin

No one's POV.:
After tucking Felix in, the two caregivers went to have dinner themselves. They barely ate anything all day because they were too occupied taking care of Felix. Feeling like he was starving, Hyunjin had already gotten himself a second serving while Chan was only halfway through his first serving. "You okay, hyung? You look tired", the dancer stated, looking up from his plate. The older lowered his chopsticks and hummed: "I am kinda tired but mostly I'm worried 'bout Felix. Yeah, he managed to keep the food and medicine down but he was so miserable. I'm scared it'll be just as bad as soon as the medicine wears off." Hyunjin nodded sadly, having thought about the same. Nobody could tell how the little would feel when he was going to wake up, hopefully he'd sleep through the whole night. Not having much of an appetite, Chan threw the rest of his dinner away and got ready for bed, while Hyunjin finished eating and followed him. The leader couldn't really eat when he was worried. He hated how his worries would always affect his stomach, taking his appetite and making him queasy when he shouldn't be. Just like today. He had felt sick to his stomach most of the day, worrying about his little, but he couldn't mention it to Hyunjin because he didn't want the younger to freak out. Seeing Felix rest peacefully, the caregiver quietly slipped into bed too and waited for Hyunjin to join them.

Though Chan always struggled to sleep, having seen the little sleep, not as pale as before, had eased his mind and he was out before Hyunjin entered the bedroom. However, the leader didn't stay asleep for long. He didn't know what woke him but when he looked over the bed, he found Hyunjin and Felix sleeping peacefully. Shivering slightly, Chan cuddled up to Felix as he hoped the little's feverish body would warm him up. Now he was alone with his thoughts and worries, which kept his mind racing and his stomach twisting in knots. Would their baby be okay? Trying to assure himself, he carefully reached over and brushed his hand against the little's forehead, while resting the other against his own. Surprisingly, it seemed like Felix' fever was gone, though they had only given him an antiemetic, not a fever reducer. Chan felt relieved, apparently, it was only a twenty-four hour bug, so the little should be completely fine by the morning. Closing his eyes, the oldest tried to go back to sleep and hoped his anxious stomach would settle, now that he knew Felix would be fine.

Twenty minutes later, he was still awake, still feeling a bit queasy Chan got up and went to the kitchen to get himself some water. He knew he was too empathetic but he had handled Felix throwing up all day without being too affected, so why was his body throwing a fit now? Shivering while he slowly sipped his water, all the leader wanted to do was cuddle up with his dongsaengs, who would warm him up for sure. Shuffling back to their room, he felt the water slosh around uncomfortably and he came to a stop in the hallway. Chan sank down with his back against the wall, one hand clamped over his mouth as he took slow, deep breaths through his nose. He had to sit and calm down first because he felt the water he had just drank would come right back up if he continued moving. This was a first, he had never felt this sick just from worrying. It couldn't be that he had caught Felix' bug could it? Chan wrapped his arm around his middle and pulled his legs close, resting his forehead on his knees. He still felt cold but moving seemed impossible, so he just closed his eyes and dozed off in the hall way.

"Daddy?", Felix mumbled questioningly, biting his sleeve. The little had just woken up, noticing the oldest wasn't there. Thinking Chan had just needed the restroom, Felix waited for a while but his daddy didn't come back to bed. He always had troubles sleeping without his main caregiver, so the little climbed out of bed, wanting to check the living room, since the older often worked there when he couldn't sleep. Felix didn't even get that far, as he almost tripped over the sleeping leader in the hallway. He couldn't see the older's face but he couldn't imagine that the position he was sleeping in was too comfortable. Why was his daddy sleeping there anyways and not in bed with him? Confused, Felix nudged Chan calling out: "Daddy?" After a while, the caregiver groaned and opened his eyes, only to close them again immediately as the walls spun around him. He didn't know where he was, all he knew that Felix was there too, hearing the little's soft voice calling out for him. His protective instincts urged him to look up and to reassure his little but Chan didn't trust himself to speak. Feeling his stomach in his throat, the oldest didn't want to open his mouth. He knew he should move to the bathroom, just like he should get Felix back to bed, but his body didn't seem to follow his command.
