Sickie/Little: Hyunjin
Caregivers: Stray Kids (mainly Jisung)
No one's POV.:
It had been a few months since Hyunjin had told his members about his littlespace. There wasn't much he had to explain because Felix had been an open little for a few months before Hyunjin even considered outing himself. At first the members were over the moon, almost fighting over who'd be allowed to take care of little Jinnie first. Over time though, they grew less eager to take care of the little. They main issue was that Felix usually slipped to an age between three and five, which was absolutely adorable, even though they sometimes struggled to understand his slurred Korean. Hyunjin didn't slip as young as the Aussie and usually regressed to around seven years old. At that age, he was more of a troublemaker and always tested his hyungs' limits. They tried to establish clear rules and punishments in case the dancer misbehaved but even this way, it was more than stressful to handle little Jinnie. What the members didn't know was, that Hyunjin himself didn't want to feel that old. He would much more prefer being like Felix, as it seemed like the Aussie was really able to let go of all his worries when he was little. Hyunjin couldn't do so, his mental age still too old to really get relief. It frustrated him to no end and he often vented his frustration at his caregivers, unable to pull himself together after receiving the last warning before a time out. The frequent scolding and punishments didn't help either and slowly, the dancer grew less fond of his littlespace, just like the other members grew less fond of having to take care of the little. Hyunjin couldn't even blame them, he knew he was a lot to handle but he couldn't help it and their rejection hurt badly. Soon the dancer started to avoid regressing all together. It barely brought him relief and only put a strain on everyone around him, so what was the use?
Hyunjin had managed to go almost a whole month without slipping. It had been hard in the beginning but slowly started to get easier, like trying to break a bad habit. The only time he really started to struggle, was when he started to fall ill. Being sick on top of their busy schedule put him under a lot of pressure but as to not stress anyone else out, he kept to himself. The dancer didn't even mention feeling a little worse for wear. It wasn't too bad though, so he was determined to take care of himself. He was an adult after all. Hyunjin's plan faltered probably due to the fever that messed with his mind. They had a day off and he woke up already feeling on the verge of slipping. At first, he was able to hold himself back but after passing the living room and watching all the other members fawn over little Felix he was struggling to do so. By the time he finished eating his breakfast, he had started to slip. Nobody could tell because seven-year-old Jinnie had a lot of practice when it came to pretending to be big. After getting ready though, he remembered their rules. He was supposed to always tell his caregivers when he slipped. With his head hurting already and an overall achy feeling in his muscles, the dancer just wanted to have a quiet day. He really wasn't in the mood for any punishments, so he should better tell the others before they find out he had broken a rule.
Putting on an oversized sweater and comfortable dungarees, Hyunjin hesitantly made his way to the living room. He regretted going there as soon as he spotted Felix in Changbin's lap. They were playing with the Aussie's rattle while the rest watched and cooed at their little baby. Hyunjin felt his heart break, feeling extremely out of place. Playing with his sleeves, he tried to catch at least one members attention. Jeongin sat closest to Hyunjin, so the dancer hesitantly nudged the maknae's shoulder, mumbling: "Just wanted to tell hyungs that Jinnie slipped too." He saw Jeongin's smile drop, so he quickly looked at the floor and stammered: "I-I'll be in my room, just wanted to tell you because of the rule." Before the maknae could reply, Hyunjin had already fled to his room, barely able to hold back his tears. Sighing, Jeongin turned his attention back to Felix. He had planned to have a fun day with the regressed Aussie and hearing the other little had slipped too made him feel uneasy. When Hyunjin was little, the day would usually be filled with fights and punishments, so the maknae certainly wasn't happy about the news. He figured Hyunjin would be playing in his room, so he decided not to go after him, as to not annoy him and risk a tantrum. When Chan glanced down the hallway to the bedrooms with a questioning look, Jeongin informed: "He slipped too and probably went to play with his toys. Just don't bother him or he'll start acting out again." – "You sure leaving him alone is a good idea? He's always up to no good and if we kept an eye on him, he could at least not take us by surprise", the leader frowned but didn't feel like going after his dongsaeng either. Little Jinnie was like a ticking time bomb and nobody wanted to be around when it exploded.
