Felix was just heading back from the dance room. Today was a special day for him because it was his and Changbin's anniversary. Since their schedules of course didn't take that into consideration, he had been held up with practice all day. Not even practice with his boyfriend, instead dance-racha practice. Changbin was most likely still in the studio with Chan and Jisung, which gave Felix the time to prepare something. He had been planning this day for a long time now, mostly because their relationship had been a bit strained recently and he wanted to fix it or at least feel the love they had for each other in the beginning even if it was just for a day. The Aussie couldn't tell why they had grown so distant lately, his feelings hadn't changed in the slightest but he didn't want to assume the older's feelings had changed because that would only send him down a spiral of anxiety. Changbin was only stressed, he told himself. It made sense because Chan also barely came back to the studio and when Jisung came home, he was quiet and tired. Felix missed them but he promised himself he would make today count.

He had already gotten a gift for Changbin a few weeks ago. The rapper had a plushie from his parents that meant the world to him, so he should also have one from his boyfriend. Figuring out what plushie to get was a much more difficult decision but in the end, Felix had settled for a cream-colored bunny with huge floppy ears. Other people would buy chocolates to go with it but the Aussie preferred to make the other something himself. Getting home earlier, he went straight to the kitchen. He had prepared the dough the previous day and could get straight to work. The dancer planned to make some heart-shaped sugarcookies with pink icing, which shouldn't be too difficult. What he was actually nervous about was writing their initials with red icing because he knew how easily the colors could smear. While the cookies baked in the oven, Felix mixed the base for his icing, dividing it into two bowl. He added a small amount of red food coloring to one bowl and almost the double amount to the other. One turned out in a light baby pink while the other was a vibrant red just like he had imagined it. To make things a little more interesting, he added some strawberry flavor to the pink icing. Everything had to be perfect today.

Turning on his 3racha playlist, Felix danced around the kitchen as he waited for the cookies to cool enough, so he could decorate them. Baking and dancing, those were the two things that always helped him ignore his worries. He had worried a lot recently. Felix himself knew he was a clingy person and he often feared he would scare Changbin away by clinging to him all the time. He had tried to give him space but apparently the rapper needed more space. They had grown distant and it almost seemed like the older was avoiding his boyfriend. Either he'd be at the studio with 3racha all say or if he wasn't and Felix asked him to hang out and do something together, the answer would always be: "Not now." Those were the words that gave the younger the most anxiety. He depended on skinship to feel loved and the days when he didn't even get a single hug from his boyfriend, he didn't know how he survived.

He had been worried all day, afraid whether Changbin would like his gift or not but here in his kitchen, his own world, those worries couldn't reach him anymore. The cookies had finally cooled and he spread a thing layer of pink icing on them, smiling at the faint strawberry scent. By the time he had covered all of them, the first few had already dried and he could start writing on them. The first one turned out a bit crooked, so he quickly put it into his mouth. At least now he knew they really did taste amazing. Checking the time, Felix noted that he still had thirty minutes till 3racha would come home. He had talked to his members before, so Minho and Hyunjin would collect Seungmin and Jeongin from their vocal lessons as soon as they were done with dance practice. 3racha would stay at the studio longer, so Chan and Jisung would go home with Changbin, change and head out to meet up with the other four. They had wanted to try a newly opened restaurant in the city and Felix used the opportunity to get everyone out of the dorm. He knew Changbin had been tired and stressed and since he wanted him to enjoy their anniversary, he wouldn't drag him out for a date. Just having some time to themselves at the dorm should be fine. At least they'd be spending time together again because Felix couldn't even remember when they last did that.
