No one's POV.:
Short of breath. Minho had always been that way. The dancer had suffered from asthma for as long as he could remember, so the feeling of his chest being uncomfortably tight was something he was familiar with. His friends knew that he was sick, Chan carrying a spare inhaler just in case. None of them had ever witnessed Minho having a bad attack, since the dancer took his medication every day and was able to suppress it. Sometimes he needed to use his inhaler and sit out for a few minutes when their dance practice was especially straining but that only happened once every few months. The only times Minho really struggled were when he was stressed, even worse, when he was stressed and tired. Usually, his members were aware of that and made sure to make their friend rest when he started to overwork himself. To keep himself from getting too stressed, the dancer had established a safe headspace for himself, also known as littlespace. When he was little, it was like the stress couldn't touch him. He didn't have one particular caregiver, rather he had seven hyungs that would shower him with affection and baby him. The members loved caring for their little and Minho loved feeling that somebody was watching out for him, so that nothing could happen to him.
When Minho wasn't little though, he was the one that had to make sure nothing happened to him. He wasn't bad at taking care of himself, always remembering to take his medication and at least trying not to let his job stress him out too much. With their comeback approaching though, that was starting to get a bit difficult. Their schedule had already been packed but them JYP had shortened their deadlines and they had to finish everything up faster than they had ever done before. The group had to work harder and to sleep less. The were always in a rush, whether that was physically rushing from one radio station to another, giving their best to promote their upcoming album, or mentally trying to push through loads of work as fast as possible while watching the time run out between their fingers. Stray Kids had always been working hard but it was nothing compared to what they were doing now. Their new album was promising a huge success both in Korea and internationally and having their eyes set on it, they couldn't let this chance slip away. Putting in their all, there was barely anything else on their minds other than what they had to do in exact that moment. Whether that was editing the last bits of one of the songs or coming up with an entire choreography in a single day.
This morning, they had to get up exceptionally early after most of them had slept for only two hours or less. Chan hadn't even gone to bed in the first place, instead resorting to nap during the drives between their interviews. Even with how early they had gotten up, they barely managed to make it to the radio station on time, jogging into the building at the very last minute. The interview began and in the first ten minutes, Minho couldn't answer any of the questions, needing to catch his breath after the short run. He was used to it though, having always been rather short of breath. After that, he tried to keep his sentences short, to be able to breathe more frequently in between, otherwise he would end up panting after a few sentences. It didn't seem like he was going to have that great of a day, as it had already started with his chest feeling tight. Minho brushed it off, since that often happened when he didn't sleep enough and he certainly didn't last night.
Trying to follow Chan's example, Minho used the drive back to their company building to sleep. They had given three interviews for different radio stations, one of them being live and the others luckily pre-recorded. It was close to lunch time and the rest of the day would consist of them practicing the choreographies the dance-racha had come up with. Not having had breakfast, they didn't really want to skip lunch too, so they picked up some takeout on the way. They woke the sleeping members up and ate a light meal in the car, so they would be able to start practicing right away. Minho didn't have to much of an appetite but he knew he had to eat something to keep his body running, especially with the hours of practice ahead. There was something at the back of his mind though, that was stressing him out, more than the deadlines and packed schedule. If he didn't have breakfast this morning, did he take his medicine? He always took it with his breakfast and now he couldn't remember whether he took it or not. He probably did, he always did. The dancer had been so focused on getting ready and leaving the dorm, that he didn't pay much attention to anything else. Contemplating whether he should go back to the dorm and take it, just in case he had forgotten this morning, Minho decided against it, as it would make him lose too much time that he needed to practice.
