Little: Minho

Caregivers: Hyunjin

No one's POV.:

It had been snowing for days already but the members of Stray Kids barely even noticed. They were buried in work that all needed to be finished before they'd be able to go on a short Christmas break. The only times they became aware of the snow outside, were on their way between the dorm and the company building, when their car was stuck in traffic or their fingers froze after deciding to walk home. One member was very aware of the snow though. Minho had been a little ever since his elimination from the survival show and his little side absolutely adored snow. Every time he passed a window, the dancer would glance outside longingly. He really wanted to go out and play in the snow. Remembering the amount of work, he still needed to finish, Minho would tear his eyes away and continue with the task on hand, not without his heart breaking though. He could only hope there'd still be as much snow during their Christmas break, so he wouldn't miss his chance to go out and play.

"What's on your mind, hyung?", Hyunjin asked quietly. The two dancers had been in the practice room all day, choreographing the dances for their next comeback. Usually, Felix would be with them but the young Aussie had caught a bad cold only a few days prior, while Minho also started to seem a bit out of it, which worried Hyunjin greatly. If the older was falling ill too, Hyunjin would be left alone with their shared task. Wanting to distract himself, Minho only shrugged in response and went to start the music again. "Let's take a break for a few minutes", the younger denied, guiding his hyung to sit down next to their bags, so they could have some water and talk, "You're not acting like yourself. Are you sick too?" Minho shook his head, picking up his bottle to drink a few sips. Though he didn't answer verbally, his eyes started to water. Being sleep-deprived and on the verge of slipping, surely didn't help to keep his emotions in check. "You know you can talk to me, hyung. I won't judge", Hyunjin frowned, which was all it took for the other's tears to spill over. Rubbing at his eyes, Minho sniffled: "It's ridiculous, Jinnie. I just- It has been snowing all the time but I'm stuck here and I just want to go out in the snow. What if it melted by the time we get out?" – "It has been snowing?", the younger gasped. He had always been half-asleep on the drive to and from the company building and had barely paid any attention to his surroundings. Choking on a sob, Minho nodded and picked up his towel to dry his face.

They sat in silence for a while, Hyunjin chewing on his lip, deep in thought, before speaking up again: "Hyung, are you by any chance feeling small right now? Could that be why you're so worked up about it?" – "I – I mean, kinda?", Minho shrugged, avoiding his dongsaeng's eyes, "I really love playing in the snow and it stresses me out that it might be gone before I have the chance to." Smiling warmly at his hyung's cuteness, Hyunjin wrapped his arm around the other's shoulders and offered: "How about this: We stay here until we complete the choreography for this song. That way, we're ahead of our schedule and on our way to the dorm, we can take our time. We'll walk home and have some time in the snow before going to bed." – "But- It'll be late at night by then", Minho hesitated, fiddling with a lose string of his shirt. "Yeah but it won't even be really dark in such a big city and we can go straight to bed after a warm shower, plus, we'll be ahead of our schedule and can sleep in a bit tomorrow", Hyunjin smiled, "We just need to finish up here quick, so the sooner we get started, we can go play." Getting to his feet, he offered Minho his hands and pulled the older up.

The thought of playing in the snow soon, fueled Minho and with renewed motivation, he got back to work. Hyunjin had to suppress a chuckle as he watched his hyung's whole demeanor change just because he had promised him to go out later. It wasn't as easy though. Minho's little side almost came up a few times over the course of their practice session, feeling giddy. He did his best to stay professional though, knowing they'd be done a lot faster if he managed to keep it together. By the time they were done with their choreography, Hyunjin had to calm the other down, reminding him: "We still need to record it, otherwise we might forget the steps before we can teach the others." Whining, Minho plopped down on his bum and refused to get back up. He had already slipped and his hyung had promised him, they'd play in the snow as soon as they were done. They were done, so why were they still here. "Alright, you sit here like a good boy and let hyung record it", Hyunjin sighed, dragging his regressed friend over to their bags, "I'll just do one more run-through to record it and then we'll go play." Though frustrated about still having to wait, Minho watched his caregiver record their choreography, clapping his hands excitedly when the other struck the ending pose.
