Sickie/Little: Felix
Caregivers: Stray Kids (mainly Hyunjin)
No one's POV.:
Following a fall photoshoot during which the group had spent the entire day outdoors, Stray Kids had the day off and since it had been a while that they all had free time together, they were planning to have Felix spend the day in his headspace. The dancer hadn't had a chance to slip in weeks and was more than overdue. Chan had made sure that they had lots of baking ingredients at the dorm, knowing his dongsaeng loved to bake for the group and would certainly have fun doing it with his caregivers. The members were already awake, all except for Felix, and although they wanted the Aussie to be able to spend as much time as possible in his headspace, they considered sleep more important and refrained from waking him. When the dancer finally shuffled into the living room, everyone else had already had breakfast. "Mornin'", he hummed lowly, plopping onto the couch next to Hyunjin. The older smiled and ruffled Felix' messy bed hair, chuckling: "Good morning sleepy head." – "Lix, are you big or little?", Chan asked carefully. "Big", his dongaseng muttered, clearing his throat before almost going back to sleep with his head on Hyunjin's lap. Running a hand through the boy's hair to smooth it down, Hyunjin cooed: "Didn't you want to slip today? You know, you haven't in a long time." The younger just shrugged, squirming a bit to try and find a comfortable position. Truth was, he had woken up feeling a bit off, so he wasn't really in the mood to slip, as they always expected him to be energetic and playful when he was regressed, which he could already tell he wouldn't be today.
Felix was close to drifting off, when Hyunjin nudged him, instructing: "It's almost lunchtime and you haven't even had breakfast yet. Go and eat something, Lix!" The younger sleepily rolled his eyes at his hyung. He was an adult and could very well decide whether he was hungry or not, which he wasn't right now. Not in the mood for this discussion, Felix rolled off the couch and made his way to the kitchen. His lips formed a small pout when he thought about what he wanted to eat. Nothing really but he knew that wasn't an option. Pouring himself some cereal, the dancer sat down at the dining table and started eating. Chan and Hyunjin soon joined him to keep him company and watched as he glared at his bowl. "Lix, what did the cereal ever do to you to deserve that look?", the leader chuckled, receiving the same look from his dongsaeng, who didn't answer and only continued to glare at his food. When he had finished, he put his bowl in the sink and disappeared to his room, leaving Chan and Hyunjin to exchange a confused look. Getting a bit worried, Chan followed the younger to their room. Felix sat on his bed and played with his hands, barely looking up at the older when he entered. In an attempt to get the dancer's attention, Chan sat down next to him and hummed: "What's up, Lix? You're not acting like yourself today." – "Just have a bit of a headache", the other muttered quietly. Giving him a short side-hug, the leader frowned: "Couldn't the headache be because you're neglecting your headspace?" Felix shook his head, pleading: "I just want to rest, could you please leave me alone, hyung?" – "Alright, if you need anything please come and find me, yeah?", the older sighed, knowing his dongsaeng would only get irritated if he kept pushing. Felix nodded and laid down, turning his face towards the wall while Chan got up to leave the room.
He had tried so hard to go back to sleep but after turning in his bed for over an hour, Felix had given up on sleep. It wasn't only his head hurting, there was also a deep ache in his muscles and as well as a slight chill that he just couldn't seem to shake no matter how tight he pulled his blanket around him. Sitting up, Felix teared up a bit. Today was supposed to be his fun day with his caregivers, why was he feeling so run-down? He wouldn't get another chance to slip and destress any time soon, so why did his one occasion have to be ruined by his body being a meanie? The realization that he was currently missing his only chance to slip this month, only really hit now and Felix couldn't help but break down. Suddenly there was an arm around his shoulders. Hyunjin had just walked past his room and heard quiet hiccups from behind the door. Knowing Felix had pushed Chan away earlier and was crying by himself was enough for Hyunjin to go in and comfort his dongsaeng. Sniffling, the younger looked up at him with teary eyes and leaned into his side. "What's wrong, Lixxie", the older cooed, making the boy feel fuzzy by using that nickname. Seeing his caregiver's understanding smile, Felix slipped and hid his face against the other's shoulder. The only answer Hyunjin got was a broken sob but he patiently waited and rubbed the Aussie's back to see whether he'd be ready to explain later.
