Jeongin had outed himself as a little a few months ago, wanting the rest of the group to know about his headspace, so he didn't have to worry about any of them finding out by accident. The members took the new information surprisingly well, finally getting the chance to baby their maknae a bit without the youngest getting sassy. What Jeongin hadn't expected when he decided to tell the others, was that they'd have an immense impact on his littlespace. Usually the boy would slip to toddler age, where he could still take care of himself and make sure to hide quite well. With his hyungs now taking care of him though, he frequently slipped younger than he had experienced before, often finding himself in babyspace, completely dependent on his caregivers. He didn't have one main caregiver as all members wanted to shower the little with love and would take turns caring for him, depending on who was busy at the moment and who could adjust their schedule a bit. The members did notice something though after Jeongin had told them he usually regressed to a toddler age. His littlegear was fitting for a toddler but the maknae's headspace age had long since shifted. Yeah, he had a pacifier and bottle for the days when he felt down but other than that, his toys mainly included blocks, cars and coloring books, which were quite useless when he slipped to babyspace.

With Jeongin's birthday coming up, the members had tried to figure out what their dongsaeng wished for as a birthday gift, so they could buy him some stuff. The maknae though didn't voice a single materialistic wish. All he wanted was to celebrate his birthday in his headspace with all of his caregivers present. Who were they to deny when Jeongin looked at them with a soft pout, pleading for them to be home with him on his birthday. They still wanted to buy him something though and agreed to add to the maknae's collection of littlegear. He should really have something age appropriate now that he slipped so much younger. After tucking Jeongin into bed for the evening, the members split the tasks that still had to be completed till the following morning. Minho, Felix and Seungmin had already teamed up to take over the kitchen duties for the day, searching for a cake recipe that would turn out soft enough for the boy to eat, so he could still have some birthday cake despite being so tiny. They hadn't been able to get the boy's presents beforehand, afraid the maknae would find them around the dorm, so Changbin and Hyunjin were on present buying duty and were given clear instructions what items to get for their baby, while Chan and Jisung were tasked with decorating the dorm. They'd have lots of balloons but would hang them up high enough that the little couldn't reach it. They also switched out most candles for ones with LEDs to babyproof the dorm to avoid injuries.

Changbin and Hyunjin didn't take long at the mall, picking up a bunch of animal cookies and strawberry yoghurts in addition to the hot-pink fluffy blanket and the rattle in the same color but printed with golden hearts. They knew their dongsaeng would eat anything they gave him but found he should have his favorite treats on his birthday even if he ended up only suckling on the cookies till the were soaked and soft enough. Knowing they wouldn't do a good job at wrapping the presents, they took pictures of them to show their friends what they had picked before having them wrapped at the mall in extra cute wrapping paper with hot pink ribbons before heading back to the dorm to see where they could help out their friends with the other tasks. Chan and Jisung had already finished decorating, while a boring documentary played on the TV in case Jeongin couldn't sleep and was listening in. If he heard them watch something boring, he'd hopefully stay in bed and just go back to sleep.

Minho, Felix and Seungmin struggled a bit because they had never tried the recipe beforehand. They had chosen a chocolate cake, that mainly consisted of chocolate pudding and cream with only some very soft dough on the bottom and now got stressed because the pudding was a bit too liquid but they managed and it thickened later on. Felix was the one most insistent on adding sprinkles because he found the cake would look too sad if it was only brown, so after looking at the pictures Changbin and Hyunjin had sent, he chose some gold sprinkles adding them on the top layer of the cake before allowing Minho to put it in the fridge. When everything was set up, the members set an early alarm, so they'd all be up and ready when Jeongin would wake up and went to bed, not wanting to be tired on their baby's first birthday.
