Little: Chan

Caregivers: Stray Kids

No one's POV.:

With their Christmas break getting closer, Stray Kids were as busy as ever, trying to get as much work done before they were off for the holidays. That meant, especially their leader and little was drowning in his workload, not really getting an opportunity to slip when he most needed it. Chan was more stressed than he had been in a while and with no way to relieve the pressure, no time to slip, he was constantly on edge. He was more irritable, not that he'd show that his dongsaengs but it only took small inconveniences to upset him. Of course, he tried to hide when he got upset but sometimes, one member would manage to see through the facade. It wasn't like they could do much about it but at least they weren't oblivious to their friend's struggles, even though Chan thought he had everyone fooled. Every time they got a single day off, they'd make the most of it, helping the oldest to slip into his headspace, just so he could take a break. The Aussie usually tended to work on those days too, hoping the extra time would take some of the rush away but it didn't really work because the longer he went without taking a proper rest, the less focused and inspired he was, ending up not being nearly as productive as he had hoped, which led to him being even more upset with himself. The other members had already established a routine for when they were about to have a day off. The previous night, one member would make sure, Chan came home and didn't spend the night at the studio. Another member, who had gone to bed earlier, would set themselves an early alarm to ensure, their leader wouldn't leave the dorm while they were still asleep. Then they'd start babying their hyung till he couldn't help but slip into his headspace, where he'd forget about the work waiting for him at the studio.

The members did their best to make each off those days as special as possible. At the beginning of the month, they had dug out their Christmas decoration, setting it up with Chan, so that he could get into the Christmas spirit. When he was regressed, it was pretty easy to get him excited for such small things. Jisung, Felix and Jeongin were best at it, approaching the little with wide smile, enthusiastically telling him what they had planned for the day. Their enthusiasm was almost contagious and Chan happily followed along with their plans, like it was the most exciting thing the group had done in a while. Another day, the little wasn't feeling his best, the headache from overworking still lingering, so they wanted to have a slow day, distracting their leader from his discomfort by setting up a pillow fort in the living room. Chan had a clear picture in mind of how he wanted their pillow fort to look like, so the others ended up more assisting him than anything else but at least, their little forgot about his headache as he arranged pillows and blankets on and around the couch. All throughout the afternoon, they watched Christmas movies and drank hot cocoa, cuddled up together with their regressed leader in their midst.

They'd soon have another day off, which they had already planned entirely through, plus developing a backup plan in case Chan didn't feel up for what they'd prepare. What they wanted to do was a holiday photoshoot with lots of cute accessories. They had started something similar to a family photo album, mainly capturing everyday situations they encountered while Chan was little, so they could show him just how adorable he was. It had started when he had first started regressing and still had a hard time accepting this side of himself, so the members wanted him to embrace his little-side. What really did it for Chan when looking at the pictures afterwards were his dongsaengs' happy and loving expressions when caring for him. He knew them well enough to know they weren't just putting up an act for him, they were actually enjoying themselves in their caregiver roles. They had already done a special photoshoot during fall, when Chan happily sat in a pile of crunchy leaves and played with a bunch of chestnuts he had found on their walk. It was only right to do another one for Christmas as well.
