The morning rays hit the tower, making it glow from its golden rays. A blonde head can be seen from a distance on the top.
Arine was restless all night. Her life was never such a mess. She was always able to find a way out through any situation. But for the first time in her life, she is so confused.
She was still in her pajamas. Her cotton blue shorts and T-shirt was moving with the soft winds. Over the year, she has found her love for roof. It's one of the most peaceful place on the Tower.
Whenever she needs to think, she always comes here. It always calms her down.
Arine closed her eyes and took a deep breath of fresh morning air. So good, so refreshing.
"Huh, you are here too." A voice interrupted her peaceful moment. She turned her head to see her mother smiling warmly towards her.
Arine returned her gesture and turned towards the sun. The heat coming from it gives her a special, safe warm feeling. After Raven died, only one thing made her feel safe. Sun.
"What are you doing up?" She asked.
"I really missed this place. Roof was my favorite so I decided to check it out." Raven said. Both of them sat in a comfortable silence. Until Arine broke it.
"Mom?" She called. Raven hummed.
"Do you regret having me?" Arine asked out of blue. Raven never ever in her whole life thought that she will ask such question. No, of course not. Arine is her baby. She never regretted having her.
"No!" Raven answered, staring at Arine with big wide eyes. But Arine's gaze was fixed on the awakening city. Soft horns of cars can be heard from a distance.
"Do you... Do you think if you didn't had me, you would've stayed happy?" She asked.
Where as all this coming from? Raven thought.
"No baby. I never regret having you. After, after my relationship with Gar, you were the only one with me. I never regret you. I will always love you. But... There is one thing I regret." Raven said, she followed her daughter's gaze. Arine turned to her questioningly.
"What?"
"I regret leaving. If my ego wasn't that big, you would've grown like a normal kid. With both parents loving you no mater what. I always wanted my child to feel accepted in world. To feel that they were not a mistake. That they matter in this world more than anyone. When I ran, and came back to my senses. It was too late. You never knew how badly I just wanted to come back and let you meet your dad. But, I always stopped. And I regret it. It's the only thing."
Raven finished smiling. Arine was amazed with her mother's words.
She smiled too. It was clear. Her mother never made her feel like she was a mistake. She always kept her happy, no matter what.
But, that one question was the one which always troubled her. But now, it's clear. She was meant to be. She was meant to born.
She was never regretted.
