Arine's POV

'Did you really thought you could escape me, little girl?'

I gasped and jolted up from my sleep. It was dark around and dead silence. I looked around frantically searching for the source of his voice.

'Run as much as you want to run. I'll always find you.'

I could hear him laugh in my mind, making my head pound. I yelled and clutched my forehead.

"GET OUT OF MY MIND!" I screamed out loud. My eyes were tightly shut and tears were flowing down my cheeks.

'You will regret leaving. You still have a choice, Arine. Submit.'

The nerve of that guy!

"NEVER!" I screamed. For once, it was silent. Just then.
'I warned you.'

"FIRE!" I heard a voice shriek. I got up and saw red angry flames burning their way towards the village. For once, I saw four blood red eyes in it.

"Stay back!" I ordered. All of them quickly followed and shrieked behind me.

"AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS!" I yelled, just then a black glowing shield surrounded us.  I push hard as fire tried to break in.

"Nghhhhgahhh!"

"Help the queen!" Hazel said and stepped next to me, holding his stick. A big white light shoot from it, covering our shield. The pressure decreased a little.

One by one, every dwarf came up and shot their power and our shield grew. But that didn't stopped the fire.

'Please, stop!'

'Suffer the consequences.'

I knew it was no use to talk to him. I felt fire pushing more, trying to break in. I pushed harder. I could feel power slowly draining out of my body. Sweat was falling from my forehead and my eyes were tightly shut, focusing on my magic.

"It's not working!" A girl dwarf cried. I opened my eyes but my vision blurred. I knew I couldn't last long but I tried my best.

Slowly slowly, fire broke our shield and surrounded us. Screams and cries echoed and everyone stick to each other. I tried to form the ball again, but I was too exhausted.

This can't be happening.
No. No!

My vision blurred again, my knees went weak and I fell on the ground.

"Your highness!" "Your majesty!?" I heard voices around me, but I can't open my eyes
I tried fighting for consciousness but finally gave in the darkness. The last thing I heard was his voice in my head.

'Learning the hard way, just like your mother.'

Gar's POV

'Pup!'

My breast growled. The uneasiness in my chest grew and I felt as if someone just tore me into pieces.

'PUP!' He growled again, this time in agony. I clutched my chest, trying to sooth the pain. Rae looked in my direction and saw me in pain.

"Gar! What's wrong?" She asked. Worry laced her voice.
"A-Arine, she's in trouble." I managed to speak.

"What-" She was about to speak but was cut off when one of he guard who escorted us entered. He looked horrified and tried to catch his breath.

"King! We got some problem" He said. Azazel's eyes darkened. "What?"
"One of the dwarfs' village was attacked. Half of that village was burnt. Luckily, all the villagers survived. But, Trigon took her away."

"WHAT!?" I yelled. My beast was on the surface. He took her.. Again!?
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE TOOK HER AWAY!? SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE HERE!" I yelled, this time on Azazel. His eyes darkened and he stood up.

"You are making decisions irrationally Changeling. We will find Arine and bring her to safety and that's my promise." He said.

"What do we do now?" Dick asked. Azazel nodded toward him. He walked towards the guard and ordered, "Prepare the army. I want our best fighters and archers. Make sure they are fed and well rested before we leave for war. Understood?" He asked. Guard nodded and bowed in respect before leaving.

Azazel came towards me and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"We will protect your daughter at any cost. Trigon won't harm a single hair of her."
