I don't know at what point I closed my eyes but waking up with Bridie next to me, I didn't want to move. this is the longest I have been in her company in six years. I don't know how she is going to wake up but if she freaks out, I will hold her until she calms down, if she will let me.
Watching Bridie start to wake, I prepared myself for everything but all she did was open her eyes and look at me then closed them again before quickly sitting up. "Bridie" "I'm sorry for asking you to stay" "hey, I never want you to apologise. This is the first time in years that I have been able to sleep beside you. I'd love for it happen more if you will let me" "okay, I am going to go to the bathroom then head down stairs" "alright". When Bridie left the bed, I stood up and walked out then down stairs.

"Morning" "morning how did last night go?" "Alright once I calmed her down" "good, was she asleep" "yes my guess she has been getting night terrors" callan nodded "expected".
"Morning is Bridie up as well?" "Yes she is" "I will make you both some breakfast" "I can do it angelic" "no, that's my kitchen" I grinned "okay".
"No point telling her you'll do it, I'm not allowed to cook either" "she likes to keep the kitchen spotless" "yep".
Hearing Bridie walk down the stairs, I looked in her direction. She was wearing a pair of jean shorts and a t'shirt once again to hide her scars. I hate this. she feels like she needs to hide her beautiful body because of them.
"Morning" "morning Bridie are you feeling alright?" "Yes just very hungry" "you did miss dinner" "I'm sorry, I was just very tired" callan nodded "that's understandable I'm sure you were mentally drained. Angelic is in the kitchen if you would like to go see her" "thankyou".
"Are you going to speak to her today?" "About?" "The night terrors it may help her to get it off her chest" "I was planning to but not yet" callan nodded.

"Here you go" "thanks angelic".
"I swear this is all I have done. I'm going to gain a ton" callan Chuckled "don't tell her that. she will make you work it off".
"One sec maddox is calling"

"Maddox" "boss we have a problem" "What is It?" "The warehouse was broken into, a full crate of weapons have gone" "the cameras?" "Completely destroyed" "it's alright I have a back up at the house. contact apollo, he will be able to access them. Let me know what you find then we'll deal with it. We cant do much if we don't know who did it. Remove all property from the warehouse and take it to the sheds out the back. If they already know where the property is, they'll come back" "alright can do. I will call you when we find something" "do you need me there?" "No we'll sort it" "alright talk later".

"F*ck" "what's the issue?" "An entire crate is missing" "someone has been watching the warehouse" "yeah the men are going to move everything to the sheds at my house" "smart. move your property is like fort knox" "yeah lucky I have a back up for the cameras at my place. Apollo is going to check it out then maddox will give me a call later" "we can handle everything here if you need to go dannon" "no she is what is important. I can live without the rest" callan had a small grin on his face "good to see you have your priorities right" "was there any doubt?" "Our lives can take over and we leave behind what's important. We have done it many times in the past" "yeah we have but I won't make that mistake again. If they really need me, I will go but I'm positive the men can deal with it" "they should be able to".

"Are you two finished?" "Yes thanks hun" "yes thank you" "good what are you two doing today?" "Actually I was hoping to be able to speak with Bridie" angelic grinned "how's it going?" "Slowly" "it will. She has gone to the pond if you want to go speak with her" "thanks".

Walking down the property, Bridie was just sitting on the bench seat looking out over the water.
"Bridie" "hi dannon" "can I join you?" "That's fine".
"How are you feeling?" "I'm alright" "did yesterday help?" "I don't know, he asked a lot of questions and brought back a lot of the memories of what happened that day" "it's good to speak about it openly, did you tell him everything that happened?" "Yes" "is that what caused the night terror?" "No I have had them for years. The first few years it was every night now they happen maybe once a week or two" I sat there not sure what to say "I know you are sorry dannon" I didn't even say it "I can see it and I know you are trying to help" I nodded "I need and want to. Need to because I'm the one that has made you suffer and want to because even after everything, I have always loved you" "as I have you" "and that's why even after everything you have protected me? You could've brought me down anytime" "I know but I couldn't. If people knew they would probably call me an idiot" "you are right they probably would. I don't even understand why" Bridie nodded. "I guess my love for you has always been stronger than the hate" "yeah".
I don't know who is helping who. I have never been able to break or feel so sick in my life, even when my mother passed But in the last few days she has managed to do that, to make me see things differently without even trying.
"I have an idea that I'd like you to think about" Bridie looked at me "what idea?" "The scars on your chest and stomach" "don't worry about them" "but I do and I know you do too. I hate seeing you hide yourself away because of what I did. Even though those scars will never change the way I look at you, I know all you want to do is hide them. How about we get them covered by a tattoo?" "a tattoo?" "Only if you are wanting to do it. That way when you look at them, you won't hate your body" Bridie nodded "that is something I never thought about, but if I can't take them away then I can atleast make something of them" "if you are comfortable with it, we can get it done when you want" "not yet. I need to find another job I don't think gerald would take me back now" "Bridie you don't need a job" "I can't rely on anyone else, it's bad enough that angelic won't take any money for letting me stay" "Bridie" Bridie looked at me her bright blue eyes meeting mine instantly "what I have is yours as well" she shook her head "that's not right" "it always has been, I told you that in the past" "yeah" I knew her mind would be ticking over. getting up from the seat, I knelt down in front of her.
"Listen to me Bridie. I know things happened and I can't take them back but I will do anything for you. anything you ask, I'll do it. anything you want, I will give it to you. anything you need, I will do everything in my power to help you get it. I made the biggest mistake of my life that day and there's nothing I can do to turn back time but let me do all this for you. Let me love you and spoil you like you deserve" slowly running my thumb down over her scar on her face her eyes never left mine "sorry can never make up for what I did, nothing can but I want to make up for it. Will you let me Bridie?" She gave a slight nod "okay" "can I have a hug?" "That is fine" standing up Bridie did the same and I wrapped my arms around her gently. Taking in the smell of her soft perfume mixed with her shampoo, I never wanted to let go. I have missed the feeling of her in my arms. I have missed everything about her and I plan to make up for it whenever she will let me.
Hearing my phone ring, Bridie stepped back. "You should answer that" "no you are what's important, not the business, not anyone else, only you" "I still think you should answer it, do not push it aside for me. I'm not going anywhere" no I can't do that, I need to show her that nothing is more important than right now, than being with her.
