It was almost the beginning of December. It had snowed last night, yet the snow was still glued onto the roads and sidewalks. The beginning of December can only mean one thing. Exams.
Younghoon was for sure never a fan of bubble sheets and a booklet filled with questions that wouldn't benefit anything. He didn't need to show how smart he is. Even if he might not be, that's not the point.
Everyone could agree that Younghoon seemed off as soon as he arrived in the classroom. He wasn't his usual confident self. Instead he was very reserved and quiet. Too much for people's liking. He had deep purple bags below his eyes, though everyone was too scared to even steal a long glance.
He fiddled with his pencil in his hands, not wanting to stress himself too much over stupid homework he didn't get the chance to do. Maybe he'll regret this in the future. But as of right now, all younghoon wanted to do was to live life with no more regrets. But the past always seems to kick you on the butt everytime.
The past can haunt you so badly, you can't even focus in the present to make up for past mistakes.
Meanwhile the poor blonde haired boy walked himself to school, checking his phone every time a minute would pass past the time the bell ringed. He had overslept and unfortunately his mother went to work early so she couldn't wake him up.
He tried getting there fast, though slow enough not to fall due to the snow. His footprint printed onto the white crystal snow as he had finally arrived to the school. The halls were a lot more quieter, and his steps and heavy breathing left echos bouncing on the walls.
His throat was sore from the run he had took, his legs feeling like jelly with his fingers as cold as the tip of his nose. There was also snow sprinkled onto his blonde hair, almost covering it completely.
And if you were to describe a ghost, Chanhee at this moment was a great example.
Everyone looked at the pinked up boy, staring at him head to toe who was only in a pair of grey sweat pants and a white hoodie he had put on last minute. He could still taste the fresh mint flavor in his mouth.
Lucky, the teacher let it slide this time. Hyunjae stared in confusion, confused as to why out of no where his friend had showed up this late which was out of the ordinary.
He dug into his brown paper lunch bag quietly, taking out a packet of animal crackers that may or may not had some that were already turning into crumbs. He handed them to the poor panting boy who could only feel even more guilty if he accepted it.
"Take them chanhee, I know you haven't ate this morning considering your rush" Hyunjae let out a small grin, placing them gently on the old creaking desk. Chanhee was just lucky he had a friend to take care of him, he just wished he could return the favor Hyunjae had done so many times.
"Hyunjae Im hungry, give me something"
"Yeah sure Haknyeon, let me just wipe something out of my ass for you!" Haknyeon glared at the older.
