Chanhee wasn't late this time because of sleeping in. He was late because his mom couldn't keep her mouth shut, the words brewing out of his mom was enough for Chanhee to lash out all of his emotions that he was comprehending for so long.

It was the same topic as always, grades. He's had enough of it. Enough of trying to be the perfect son for the mother who didn't give two craps. It made him want to rip off his hair from frustration and anger. He was done with going out of his way stressing over getting something below a 95.

Which is why he yelled at her with all of his thoughts coming into words. One thing that broke the most was seeing her face, her clueless and sad face though he promised himself not to let her emotions matter more than his when she's the one putting him into this pain.

The constant yells and tears stuck in his head for the whole way back to school. His echoing screams and cries. He just wished he could forget about it all. His eyes were red from crying and his voice sounded weird as well as his stuffy nose.

"you have to do good on your tests Chanhee, I'm not going to allow you to have a 85 anymore" His mother stated as Chanhee clenched his  fist with confusion running in his mind. How did a simple sentence such as him talking about a school dance turn into a talk about his grades.

"bad grades aren't going to give you any scholarships, and no scholarships can mean not getting into a good school" There was two choices Chanhee had. He could either simply walk away without uttering a single word like he usually does, or he could finally let out his feelings and hope for the best.

"You need to have a good career to provide for your-"

"just shut up.." Chanhee muttered under his breath though his mother kept rambling. He had enough. Had enough of all of this crap that made him actually want to go to school and hide in the bathroom stall.

"JUST SHUT UP!" he yelled on the top of his lungs, quiet sobs escaping his lips as he felt his hands shake and heart beat faster than ever. Here goes nothing.

"nothing revolves around grades! I'm not going to die because I have a b. I'm 16! I have a whole life ahead of me, I shouldn't be stressing over college or to make you proud. because apparently nothing I accomplish matters right? you only really notice when I get a bad grade but don't notice when I work my ass off to be the top of my classes. what type of mother does that do their own child?" to say Chanhee felt like running away far from this place in this moment was for sure a fact.

"I'm done trying to be perfect for you, I'm surprise you even 'accepted' me being gay. Even though I know you are ashamed when your friends start talking about their sons having biological children. Why weren't you like this with Sangyeon? because he's more manly? because he's bi?" Chanhee's voice broke down with every word, feeling like utter crap as his mother just stared in pure confusion.
