The power had finally came back on .
It was knocked out due to the heavy storms .
My cable still wasn't working , so I called DirecTV - who said they'd send someone out as soon as possible .
It had been 6 hours , when I finally heard a knock at the door . Usually , I wouldn't be tripping over cable , but I was in the middle of Ginny & Georgia .
When I answered the door , I was surprised at what I seen .
A tall , fine ass man was standing there with casual clothes on .
" Hi , I'm here to fix the cable ". He introduced. I looked behind him seeing the cable truck . I let him in & guided him to the living room.
" Where's your uniform "? I asked , drinking from my cup of coffee .
" Well , they called me from home to fix your cable since there wasn't anyone on duty who could come this far . Luckily , I live about an hour away ". I looked at him quizzically .
I lived on the outskirts of town because I hated traffic .
" So , how come it took you six hours to come " ? I asked . He chuckled, turning towards me .
" I was watching Netflix". I scoffed , as he kneeled on the floor by the wires connecting to my TV.
As he was fixing the cable , the power unfortunately cut off again .
So now , we were sitting in the dark . I lit the candles that were on the table & snuggled into my couch .
Soon , I dozed off .
When I woke up , the fine ass cable man was gone & my cable was on . I looked over , seeing a note on the living room table .
You looked very peaceful while sleeping , so I didn't wake you . Your cable is fixed & don't worry , I paid your bill for you. Here's my number if you need anything else . ***-***-***
