Au: You work as a therapist at an asylum . Your new patient isn't like any other and sure wasn't who you expected it to be .

The door to my office opened harshly . Your boss Dr. Lang walked in with a stack of papers in a folder .

"We have a new patient coming this evening , so I need you to go through all his files . He's 23 years old and is fucked up in the head ".

Dr. Lang walked out of the room shutting the door before you could even ask questions.

You reluctantly opened the files going through every paper . Each paper was filled with different documents and prison charges .

From three Attempted Murder to two Arson charges. For all of them he pleaded not guilty and had only actually served 5 months in prison for stealing money from a fast food establishment.

The small light on your computer blinked a few times telling you that the boss needed you on the First floor.

You grabbed the files and held them , walking to the elevator . Once , you got off the elevator loud cries and screams were heard throughout the hall.

All the patients were behind steel doors with cushions covering them in case the patients decide to harm themselves.

You seen your boss waving you over to his office . His eyes frantic .

"Your new patient is here . He came early because he killed a guard this morning at his old prison." He said quickly moving out of the security guards way .

"Is he on this floor ?" You asked him . He shook his head no , holding up the number two, and looking around the full hallway of people . The new receptionist frantically at the desk answering call after call.

You decided to take your leave and go up to Minghao's floor . The elevator ride to the second floor was short , but full of thoughts .

You remembered a boy who went by the the name "Minghao". He was your next door neighbor . You two started off as enemies , but eventually you two grew closer .

He asked you out and you both dated for almost 2 years until he unexpectedly moved back to China because of a family dispute . Before , he left y'all made love for the first time .

He immediately left the next day . Unfortunately you didn't have the chance to tell Minghao you were pregnant .

9 months later , you had a healthy little boy who right now was staying with his grandma while you did your job.

You hoped that your baby father wasn't the man sitting in this cold room . You hoped that the man who once couldn't hurt a fly didn't supposedly have three attempted murder charges .

You hesitantly opened the door . A table in the middle of the room where he was cuffed . His legs cuffed together and a stray jacket preventing him from touching anything .

You sat down not looking up at his face yet . You hadn't even seen the mugshots .

"Did you miss me , peach ?" , a deep voice asked .

You quickly raised your head curious to who this man was asking if you missed him.

IT WAS HIM.

The same smile and the same eyes . Tears welled in your own eyes , confused on why he was here in this terrible place that brung nothing , but hurt .

"Why are you here "? You asked , your hands reaching out to his . Luckily , The guards were outside and couldn't come in unless you rung the alarm under the table .

He looked at you and gave you a reassuring smile , wanting you to stop crying . He always hated seeing you cry.

" I've had a lot of bad things happen in my life y/n and a lot of bad people I've encountered."

He paused for a second .

"You know I never killed anyone . I just stood up for myself . They bullied me in college , so I got my revenge ".

Minghao smirked at his own answer , unwrapping his hands from around his body .

Your eyes widened .

This whole time his stray jacket wasn't on . He was pretending , so you wouldn't be scared of him.

Now that you knew some of his story he felt like you could trust him and he could trust you.

"Why did you move "? You asked , waiting for his response .

Eager to find out what made him want to leave when y'all were perfect together .

You could even say the both of you were meant to be .

"You. I was getting too attached . I didn't want you to get hurt . I didn't and still don't think you would be ready to handle me and all my problems " . He said reaching his hands out to touch yours .

You were glad the room was soundproof because you needed to get some shit off your chest.

You removed your hands from his and got up infront of him .

" You don't get to tell me if I'm ready or not for you or your problems . I loved you more than anything in the world and you left me . I cried and cried for days . I HAD YOUR FUCKING CHILD". You yelled in his face , tears streaming down.

"I have a baby ". He said .

"A son ". You nodded your head at him.

He grabbed you by your waist and pulled you into his lap wrapping his arms around you.

"I'm so sorry for leaving y/n". He started crying into the crook of your neck, making you hold him even closer .

After about 3 minutes he raised his head to look at you.

"I need to see my son . I want my son , but I also need to escape this place . I have a condo in Australia that I bought for vacation . You guys can stay there with me ."

He smiled wiping your tears . Kissing your cheeks . He slipped the phone out of your pocket and added a new contact , quickly typing .

Five minutes later , a loud alarm blared and you could hear frantic footsteps . People running and screaming .

You flinched at the loud gunshots that started to go off .

He hoisted you up on his waist like you were a baby and carried you out of the room and to the car . His hand on your head protecting you from seeing all the blood shed .

When y'all got in the car , The two drivers drove on the road speeding to the airport .

Minghao turned towards you and started speaking .

"So here's the plan . We are gonna board my private airplane. Our son is already there waiting . He's asleep and well. Your mother already knows everything".

You weakly nodded your head , tired .

He caressed you hair , gently massaging your scalp . You laying your head on his shoulder .

Maybe this new life wouldn't be so bad .
