My family had invited me to Christmas dinner for the first time in 4 years . My dad finally told me that my older sister was getting married & he wanted me to meet the "lucky" guy.

I drove three hours to my mom's house , seeing my dad waiting for me outside . He had a bright smile on his face & had his index finger pointing to my sister's car signaling that the person I was supposed to meet was already here.

I straightened out my pencil skirt & hopped out of my car . It wasn't a secret that I owned a huge company & that I was the richest bachelorette in the family , well the only rich person in my family .

I was never treated right by my family , but regardless I still cared for them. My sister & I weren't so close , but I wasn't about to miss out on a wedding that I could show up & show out at.

My dad was my best friend & was my biggest support system . I walked into the house with my daddy right behind me. I could see my sister roll her eyes , before quietly pulling her man behind her . I smirked as my mom pulled me in for a hug .

When I finally seen the man they wanted to meet , I was shook.

His name was Kai.

He was tall & had flawless skin . He smelled like perfectly applied cologne & even kissed my hand when greeting me. My sister snatched his hand away from mines & nodded her head at me , as a greeting .

The rest of the evening was awkward , but of course I kept the spirit alive . When everyone finally settled down , I went outside to make business calls & possibly roll a blunt if I had time.

Kai had came outside too . He sighed before flinching at the sight of me which caused me to laugh .

"Why aren't you inside with my sister"? I asked , rubbing my arms since the night air was getting colder . He took off his jacket & draped it over my shoulders.

" I needed some time away from her . You know it's an arranged marriage right . Your mom set it up. I kind of feel bad for saying it , but I don't like nor love her. ". Kai exclaimed .

My eyes widened .

I should've known my mom would do something like that. Kai smiled at me & pulled out his phone.

"You know my sister has always wanted to find love . I guess she talked about it so much that my family just found her someone themselves. How much are they paying you "? I asked .

He looked at me confused .

" I could buy your whole company out .  I don't need your family's money . I was just thrown into this because of a stupid contract I was too tired to read over before signing ". He sighed .

" What if you ran away with me? I don't like this place anyway . It's nothing , but sad memories ". I said as I held up my car keys in his face . He grinned before grabbing my car keys out of my hand  then running to my car .

I took off my heels hurriedly & ran behind him , laughing . He was already in the drivers seat waiting on me . He turned on the radio as I got in & started the car .

We drove out of my neighborhood & into our future , which consisted of a private marriage ceremony & household full of kids.
