Cries filled the huge room of people . I looked at the door in shock as my mother hugged me tightly . The officers bowed at my father , the king before leaving . I broke down in my mother's arms , soon going limp & passing out on the castle floor .
1 year later....
" Y/n , you need to find a new potential husband soon . We need a heir to the throne ".
My mother rubbed my back as my father talked about the topic of moving on from Jaemin . I still had been grieving the loss of him , him being the best thing to ever happen to me .
" I'll think over it , father . May I be dismissed " ? I asked .
My mother nodded her head , knowing that I needed space . I could hear her arguing with my father as I turned the corner away from the dining room . I roamed the hallways of the huge castle , thinking all to myself .
The maids & butlers had been dismissed to their rooms for the night , so the castle was extremely quiet .
A piano started playing behind me causing me to quickly turn around . I felt a brush of wind pass by me , causing chills down my arms . I turned around only to fall into welcoming arms .
Before , I could look up & see who it was - the person spun me to the music . I could tell by the person's hands & arms that it was a man . He smelled of a strong , but sweet cologne .
We twirled me down the long hallway & finally I looked up to see his face . My heart dropped at the sight of Jaemin staring right back at me. He ignored my expression & continued to spin me around .
I laughed loudly as he spun me again . A bright smile on his gorgeous face . A brush of cold air passed by me once more . I looked up at Jaemin , seeing that he was no longer there . My bright smile quickly turned into a frown .
I looked all around the castle , searching for him , & calling out his name - just for him not to come .
" Jaemin come back ". I cried , sitting on the balcony rail.
" Princess, it's time to go to bed ". Our head maid Lydia said worriedly . She softly smiled at the sight of my tears , grabbing my hand , & pulling me off the rail . She led me all the way to my room & tucked me into my bed .
