We'd have so many conversations about the universe, about humans , about what would happen when everyone is gone. It almost felt as if we were dreaming when the warning flashed across Byul's TV.
" MISSILES HAVE BEEN FIRED".
That was all the screen read. My mouth opened in shock . Life was just getting good & now here we are in our final moments . The national guard came onto the screen in a panic reporting what was going on .
Alarms blared outside causing the dogs in our neighborhood to howl along with them.
A tear dropped from my eye when MoonByul grabbed my chin making me face her way. She had tears coming from her eyes too.
" I would've never thought this would be our last day together ". She said , wiping my tears with her thumb .
" I want you to know that I'm in love with you . I wanted to say this at our wedding, but looks like that will never happen. I'm in love with everything about you & I want to thank you for even giving me a chance . " she continued .
Her eyes stared into mines as if she wanted to make sure she'd remember me forever .
" I love you too & I want to thank you being the best girlfriend in the world . Thank you for being there when I needed you & thank you for helping me overcome one of my biggest fears".
" What fear ?" She asked wiping my face once again.
" The fear of being in love with you". My head sunk down into her chest .
Her hand slid into mines before placing a gentle kiss on it .
She kissed me on the lips grabbing my hand even tighter .
" I told you that I'd hold your hand when the world explodes . Didn't I ? She laughed even though our hearts were shattered into millions of pieces .
" You'll search for me , right ?
" Always".

The line .... " The fear of being in love with you ". was something I thought of off the top of my head. I based it on how looked down upon same sex marriage is in Korea . The line represents y/n being scared to love who she wants to love just because the public won't agree. Moonbyul helped her get over this fear💗.
