I watched the clouds outside of the tiny window in the plane . The old man next to me , leaning on my shoulder snoring .

High School in South Korea had been the best four years of my life , but I had to leave .

Fortunately , I had got accepted into UCLA , so of course I wasn't gonna miss out on the opportunity to go to my dream school.

Before , I left I tried to get in contact with my best friend Vernon . I stopped by his tiny apartment that his parents bought for him to say my final goodbyes .

Did I mention that I've had the biggest crush on Vernon since we were in elementary ? I was just too scared to admit it .

When I walked in his house it was extremely quiet , but when I walked up to his room I heard low moans .

A women and a man's low moans .

Tears threaten to fall , but instead I turned around quietly and walked out of the door . I didn't want to interrupt his fun.

Tears welled in my eyes thinking about him. I missed him already. Before I got on the plane I had 15 missed calls from him.

I reminded myself quietly to block his number when I got to California.

Two planes later , I finally exited the packed airport . I ordered an Uber and excitedly got in when the car arrived , wanting to get to the dorms as fast as possible .

I talked to my parents on the way to campus . They were still back in Korea and would send me money every week for bare necessities.

I hesitantly blocked Vernon's number when I got into the dorm . My roommate still hadn't arrived . They weren't gonna arrive until tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure I'll like the next four years of College .

Four Years Later..................

I was now 21 years old . I looked the same , but I had gained weight in the ass and breast area .

Unfortunately, I never had time in my 4 years of university to go back and visit my parents .

We always FaceTimed though . I had made new friends and they convinced me to go back to Korea and visit . They knew that I missed my family and ex best friend .

So here I am at the airport in Korea waiting for my mother to pick me up. I seen her tiny figure run up to me . She was already crying .
