I Can't Mess This Up

I slammed my bedroom door behind me and leaned back against it, taking  deep breaths, trying to calm down. 

Fuck I hated Misako. Treating Lloyd like he was a child, talking down to him, bringing up the fact he wasn't eating as much, reminding him of his eating disorder. My blood was boiling. I wanted to punch something. 

I took another deep breath as a new surge of anger rushed through me, remembering what Wu had said to me. I wasn't lazy! my spinjitzu was fine! What was he picking on me again for?! Agh. 

I paced around my room angrily for what was probably a good ten minutes, until I realised I needed to calm down. I sighed and took another deep breath. I wished Misako would just leave. But now seeing her and Wu were basically together, she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. I grabbed my toiletries bag and a clean towel from my cupboard in preparation for a shower. I decided to check on Lloyd first, he was probably in his room by now. I left my room and walked down the hall towards Lloyds room. The door was shut but I saw a faint light coming out underneath it. He probably had his bedside lamp on. Was he already going to bed? 

"Hey Lloyd? Are you awake? Are you going to have a shower?" I called out. 

Lloyd responded with a voice that seemed calm but I could hear anxiety behind it.

"I'm a bit tired, I'm going to have one in the morning." 

I frowned. This was the third night in a row that I'd noticed Lloyd hadn't gone to the bathroom to shower or clean his teeth or anything. I was growing worried. But maybe I was just being dramatic about things, he said he was going to have a shower tomorrow after all. 

"Okay, sleep well." I replied. I got no response.

 I headed to the shower. I really hoped Lloyd was okay, I mean, he was probably feeling awful, after having to deal with his horrible mother. I just wanted to hug him. I wished I could protect him from all of this.

As I had my shower, my mind wandered to our plans for tomorrow, Lloyds appointment, the movie, I also needed to get Lloyd something for his birthday, I had no idea what yet. I wanted to get him something really special, I already had brought him a drawing book and pencils, as one of his hobbies was drawing, which he was insanely good at, even though he refused to see it and kept saying his drawings were trash. 

But I wanted to get him something better than that. Something really special that he would remember. Maybe matching friendship necklaces? Would he even wear something like that? I wasn't sure. And the thought was a bit embarrassing. One day I wanted to get a matching tattoo with someone, maybe one day me and Lloyd could get matching tattoos of our elemental powers? Or dragons? That would be cool.. 

I shook my head in frustration. I needed to stop thinking about him like this. 

I felt a lot better after my shower. I nearly forgot that Wu had wanted me to read that stupid book. Sighing, I headed to his study where he kept his books. 

Thankfully Wu wasn't in there, I didn't want to talk to him again tonight. 

 I rummaged through his bookshelf and pulled out a book he had told me to read. 

"Awesome." I muttered sarcastically, tucking the book under my arm and I headed back to my room. 

I walked past Misako and Wu's bedroom, yeah, they shared a bedroom now too. I heard laughing from it. Sounded like Misako. 

I felt my blood boiling again. I would be so angry if my mother started hooking up with my uncle, like my father never existed. 

What a bitch.
