LLOYD POV

He is so adorable.

Kai had both his hands still held in mine. We hadn't said much since, well, since I had told him. I didn't know what to say anymore.

I can't stop staring. He is gonna think I'm weird.

I can't believe I told him, and he likes me back. He actually likes me too! Although if I think about it he basically told me he likes me quite a few times, but there was no mistaking it this time, he definitely likes me back.

Kai looked incredibly flustered. His face red and sweaty. His eyes were glued to the floor as he pulled one hand away from mine so he could brush a strand of hair from his face.

Am I making him nervous?

My brain began overthinking again.

Nobody could like me like that surely? even if he has a crush on me too, he can't like me THAT much.

Kai pushed his hand back into mine and gave me a small smile that said everything.

This can't be real.

"Attention skaters, the skating rink closes soon, we only have time for two more songs"

"Is it nearly nine already?" Kai exclaimed as we heard the voice from the staff over the loudspeaker and then music began playing again.

"Yeah, It's gone so fast." I sighed. "I wish it would have gone on forever."

Kai shot me another small, embarrassed smile. "Same here."

Stay calm stay calm.

"But, I'm also kinda glad it's nearly over, I think I've given my arms more of a workout than my legs tonight." Kai joked. "I've barely been skating more just getting dragged around."

"Sorry." I said almost instinctively. Feeling bad that I'd pulled him around so much.

I should have let him try it out on his own more, he isn't going to learn if I keep holding him up.

"Don't be sorry! I'd be dead if you weren't here to stop me falling." Kai laughed.

"Okay, well you better thank me for saving your life then. "  I replied with a grin.

I felt him flinch slightly as we rounded a corner. He had to grab my arm to support himself, it was almost like he was in pain. I slowed down and moved to thd edge of the rink.

"Is your arm okay?" I asked with concern.

Kai pulled a face. "It still hurts, but it's also still working thankfully, if it wasn't I would have fallen a lot more."

"You might have sprained it." I frowned.

"Maybe, but it's worth it to be here tonight, skating with you." Kai said softly.

Oh shit.

I felt my face breaking into a smile. My heart was pounding so fast.

I can't believe this is actually happening.

"Then let's make the most of the time we have left." I said. "But when we get home, you better check it properly." I added in a firm tone.

"Okay okay." Kai shot me another small smile, a red glow across his cheeks. I felt my heart jump.
