Please, Not My Mother..

LLOYD  P. O. V

"Lloyd? Hey Lloyd!" 

Still half asleep I heard a voice calling me in the back of my mind. I rolled over, the ground felt hard beneath me. My body was aching. 

That's right, I fell asleep on the floor. 

"Lloyd!"

My eyes sprun open. I sat up. I felt terrible. My circulation had been cut off from lying on one of my arms. Through blurred eyes I noticed what I was wearing, I had paid no attention to the clothes I chucked on last night. I was in an old t-shirt and my pyjama shorts. Agh, I could see all my scars, gross. I needed to put some better clothes on…. I groggily started shaking the pins and needles out of my arm.

"Are you awake?  Lloyd! You okay?" Came Kai's worried voice, muffled through the door.

Damn it.

"I'm awake!" I called out quickly, forcing my voice to sound like I wasn't half dead from lack of sleep.

"Oh good" Kai's voice, heavily laced with relief, sounded through my door. " I'm sorry if I woke you up, but it's nearly ten thirty!!" 

That late already? 

" No it's fine, I'll be out in a moment, just getting changed." I called. I looked at my arms, feeling sick. I barely got a chance to look at them, save for the times I was hurting myself or considering it. I shook the thought from my mind and looked away. At least the pins and needles were fading from my arm now.

I wonder what Kai would think if he saw my scars.... 

"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen, There's pancakes for breakfast, we saved you some." Kai said. "I'll go heat them up again for you." 

Pancakes actually sounded good. I realised I was starving.

"Thanks!" I called out. I didn't get a response, Kai must have left already. 

I got up and searched through my clothes drawers hurriedly. I found my green hoodie and a pair of jeans. 

That will do. 

I quickly changed, then I grabbed my hair brush from my dresser and ran it through my hair a few times. It was still damp from the shower. long strands of hair fell back across my face almost as quickly as I brushed them away. I was due for a haircut. Giving up on getting my hair to sit properly, I looked over at my desk, to the picture I had drawn last night. I still thought it looked pretty good.

I cant believe I managed to resist the urge to cut last night. That rarely happens.

Don't start to think about it again, it's a new day, things are great! Life is great! You are the green ninja, act tough Lloyd!

I took a deep breath. Then I hid the drawing beneath another piece of paper, just in case anyone came into my room uninvited and spotted it. I didn't want anyone to see it.

I sighed as I looked back around my unruly room.

Damn it's a mess

Picking my phone up from the floor where I had left it, I placed it in my pocket and went and opened my bedroom door. I carefully closed it after me. It was one of my greatest fears, that my mother or friends would search my room and find the things I didn't want anyone to see.

Hopefully I don't look too tired I thought as I made my way to the kitchen, when I walked in I saw Jay and Kai were in there laughing together about something. Kai was leaning up against the bench. A broad smile on his face, his spiky hair looking freshly gelled up. When he saw me, he pushed himself from the bench and bounded past Jay toward me happily.
