KAI POV

The entire front of Ronin's suit was covered in vomit. Some had trickled down and pooled beneath his fancy black shoes and stained the light brick pavement.

But I didn't give a shit about Ronin. I turned to Lloyd. He stared dully back at me, swaying on his feet.

"Are you okay?" I asked him quickly, brushing the hair away from his eyes.

Lloyd blinked up at me faintly and nodded, although he looked rather scared. As if he was expecting to get yelled at. A sharp pang of guilt hit me square in the chest.

He doesn't trust me. Why should he after how I acted tonight? After I yelled at him?

"I just bought this suit!" Ronin muttered reproachfully.

We all ignored Ronin. Nya rushed to Lloyd's side and helped me support his weight.

"Lloyd! Oh goodness, Do you need to sit down?" she cried.

"No I'm okay, I-I'm sorry." Lloyd mumbled.

"Don't be sorry! It's okay." I reassured him.

Lloyd clutched hold of my arm, leaning against me for support.

You're okay.

I watched as Ronin flicked off the small towel hanging from his shoulder and used it to wipe his face clean, then he threw it in a bin standing a few feet away.

"If you weren't already leaving the premises, I would have kicked you out for that." He huffed.

"Oh shut up Ronin, we are leaving!" Nya snapped. She helped me guide Lloyd out of the way as a group of people walked past, leaving the bar. They looked on with a mixture of sympathy and displeasure, picking their way around the spew on the ground with combined exclamations of disgust.

"I'm sure glad I got that shower installed out back." Ronin huffed. "Karloff, get someone to clean up that mess."

"Yes, of course." Karloff replied quickly.

And with that, Ronin spun sharply and went back into the bar.

"Rude." Nya muttered.

The second Ronin disappeared Karloff turned to us.

"Lloyd is okay, yes? Does Lloyd need a bucket?"

Lloyd shook his head, light was returning to his eyes. "I'm actually feeling a lot better now." He replied. "I think I got it all out."

"Karloff, glad yes. Karloff was scared he might have squeezed Lloyd too hard."

"No, I just drank too much." Lloyd replied with a weak laugh. "That will teach me won't it?"

"It should." Nya muttered. I frowned at her. Her tone was harsh, but I met her eyes and knew she was just worried about him like I was.

"Well, we will get out of here." I told Karloff. "It was nice seeing you again."

"Good too see ninja too!" Karloff cried after us as we waved him goodbye. Lloyd clutched onto my arm as we walked out onto the footpath.

"Are you sure you are alright?" I asked him anxiously, looking him up and down. Miraculously he had somehow managed not to get any vomit on himself, or at least not that I could see.

"Yeah." Lloyd replied with a short laugh. "I've been more drunk before, this is nothing."

That's not good!
