Why did Misako have to interrupt at the most inconvenient times? I was furious at what Lloyd had told me. She had left him in a cardboard box?? Abandoned him? I was still trying to wrap my mind around that, and why anyone would ever do that.

 I didn't believe Lloyd when he said he knew nothing about my questions of the school. He seemed really worried about something.

I shouldn't have brought it up with him.

I was worried. He had probably had nightmares again, keeping him awake. I just needed to stay calm and be there for him when he was ready to talk about it.

If he's ever ready to talk.

"Can you boys come clean the living room?" Misako called out. 

I felt anger rising inside my chest.

"Uhh no? we are about to go out?" I snapped. Fuck off bitch. 

"You guys made a mess out there yesterday! There's chip packets and juice bottles lying all over the floor!" She exclaimed.

I glanced at Lloyd, rolling my eyes. "Are we gonna?" I asked him. Lloyd still looked upset.

"Guess we should go pick that stuff up, wouldn't take long, we did make a mess after all. " Lloyd said with a nervous laugh. I wanted to hug him again. 

Don't make it wierd Kai.

"That's true, okay, let's see how fast we can clean! " I smiled, holding up a hand for a high five.

Lloyd visibibly relaxed, grinned and high fived me back. "Okay, then we gotta go to see that movie." 

"Are you coming out Lloyd!" Misako shouted..Lloyd tensed up nervously.

I wanted to punch Misako. 

If I had a little less self control, I would.

"Hurry up!" Misako called out again. "I want to sweep out there!" 

"We will be out in a moment." I shouted at the door, trying not to sound too frustrated, but my mind couldn't stop thinking over and over.

She abandoned Lloyd.

Her own son.

How could anyone do that then come back and pretend they care like she did?

"I'll take this back to the kitchen and meet you in the dining room. Lloyd said as he bent down and picked up his empty plate then he walked over and opened the door. 

I could stop staring at him, he looked so good in the jacket and earrings damn. 

Fuck I'm so gay 

"Yeah, I'm just going to put some jeans on first." I said. I had some really cool ripped jeans. I wondered if Lloyd would like to borrow a pair. I'd ask him before we left for the movie. 

As I watched him walk out of the room, my mind screamed at me. 

You got to ask him out, or at least tell him about Skylor! Stop messing around. 

But what if he thinks I'm weird? 

Everyone already thinks you're wierd idiot.

After the movie I will tell him. I promised myself. Then I'll go buy him birthday presents. 

Lloyd had unintentionally given me a great idea of what to get for him. I rummaged though the pile of jackets on my bed and found the extra jacket I had, identical to the one I had just given Lloyd. I folded it as tightly as possible and packed it into a satchel. I would take it with me today, I wanted to see if I could get it modified like Lloyd was saying thought would be cool. I knew the tailor whom Wu got to make our ninja suits. She made custom and modified clothes regularly. She should be able to help.
