"John!" Sherlock called happily as she ran, watching her army doctor run towards her with his arms wide open. Both of their faces were stained with tears as they ignored the tourists and crowds of people in the airport just to run at each other.

John Watson had gone to war but was told not to tell any information other than that. He only told Sherlock he was called into the battlefield. She was heartbroken. She knew she had a 50% chance she might loose John but she tried to look on the bright side.

Sherlock received letters every week from John. When she didn't receive one, the next one came with the sincerest apologies. His excuse was that he was moved to another location and apparently sending mail takes a lot more time. But they moved him back to his previous location after John made a few changes by talking to the Captains and the Sargents. Sherlock was more than glad.

"Sherlock!" John exclaimed excitedly when he saw his girlfriend running in his direction at the same speed he was running. Before they reached each other, John dropped his bags on the floor. Sherlock jumped into his open arms and squeaked when she made contact with his chest. John span them around, too happy to care about the people passing.

Sherlock hugged her pillow tightly with a smile, still in dreamland. John woke up and turned his head, looking at his wife with a curious smile. He felt jealousy towards the pillow so he removed it carefully as to not wake the sleeping consulting detective. A frown grew on Sherlock's face as she felt around for the next comforting thing to hug. Her hand made contact with a chest and she smiled again, wrapping her arms and legs around John like when Sherlock received John at the airport. John smiled at the familiarity and hugged back tightly like he had that day.

Sherlock mumbled things she had not said that day but the one she kept repeating after they arrived back to the flat.

"I love you." She mumbled over and over again with the biggest smile on her face. She pulled back slightly and locked her lips with his passionately, reenacting the kiss they had that day and on their wedding day. John was more than happy to return the kiss, even though he knew she was still asleep. Several minutes later, the need for oxygen was deemed needed causing them to pull away breathlessly. Sherlock's eyes fluttered open and a cheeky grin placed itself on her face.

"That sure is a great way to wake up and start a day." She whispered breathlessly, making John let out a throaty chuckle.
