Out on case, John struggled to follow Sherlock's quick pace. Her legs were slightly longer than his but she didn't give it much thought, resulting in John staying back.

"S-Sherlock!" John called out shakily, his warm breath visible in the cold air of London. Sherlock abruptly turned around and waited for John to catch up.

Sherlock cocked her head to the side, looking at John with amusement. "Do you want me to slow down?"

"Y-Yes. That would be m-most p-preferable." John said in between shattering teeth. Sherlock's eyebrows shot up in worry before she took off her scarf and wrapped it around John's neck and tied it. "S-Sherlock?" John said, shivering slightly. "Why a-are you-"

Sherlock shushed him and tried to make John warm, fixing his coat and pulling him closer to her. She placed a kiss on his forehead, his cheeks red not only because of the cold.

"Is that better?" Sherlock asked, looking at John and him instantly noticing her dilated pupils.

John shrugged his shoulder's slightly, still feeling cold. Sherlock rolled her eyes, gripping onto the scarf and pulling him in for a kiss, catching him off guard. His eyes widened in surprise but then fluttered closed the second he fell into realization. They stayed that way until breathing was necessary and they broke apart.

"How about now?" Sherlock asked cheekily. John smiled widely.

"A little better."
