"Yeah, sure sure! We'll be there!" John assured the person on the phone, Sherlock looking over at him curiously, plucking her violin in a more gently way than before to eavesdrop. "See you later! Yeah, You too!" John said before hanging up. He turned to Sherlock, only to catch her already looking. She smiled sweetly at John.
"Sherlock, get dressed we're going ice skating with Molly and Lestrade." Sherlock's smile instantly disappeared and a look of horror replaced it.
"No." Sherlock said, turning her head to avoid John's gaze. John looked at her sternly, his hands on his hips.
"You're coming." John said.
"No, I'm not."

Sherlock sighed deeply as she expertly tied her skates. John had brought Sherlock forcefully to the ice skating place and met up with the Lestrades. The couple didn't stop teasing Sherlock, assuming she was scared to skate. Needless to say, they were partly correct.
Families and couples skated in the rink, holding hands and talking quietly to themselves. All of them were calm and collected, not a worry in the world as some couples messed around the rink. Honestly, their calm demeanor brought Sherlock uneasiness.
She looked at John from the corner of her eye and saw him smirking. She rolled her eyes and stood up with John's help. She awkwardly stepped into the rink with an iron grip on John's arm, ignoring John's chuckles.
"I thought you skated before." John said, Sherlock turning to him with a glare.
"Yeah, well you thought wrong." Sherlock said, her foot slipping as she shrieked the last word, causing her to fall into John's arms. He laughed and helped her up.
"Are you really scared of slipping?"
"No, I'm terrified of falling." Sherlock answered, holding onto John as if her life depended on it, which in this case did.
"I'll catch you." John replied, a wide smile spreading on the couple's faces.
John gently pulled Sherlock along as he skated along the ice rink, slowly picking up speed. They were a while like that, but Sherlock had never let go of John.
John brought her to the center of the rink and then let her go abruptly, skating backwards when she reached out for him.
"JOHN!" Sherlock cried, attempting to keep her balance. John barked out a laugh, clutching his stomach when he saw Sherlock's wide eyes and even paler face. "THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" She cried out, flapping her arms by her sides to somehow keep her balance. She stopped moving, wrapping her arms around herself as she shook.
"Sherlock?" John called out with concern. He skated towards her carefully, avoiding the people skating closely. When he approached her, he finally noticed how pale she actually was and how her lips trembled. She was only wearing a long sleeved shirt and skinny jeans with boots. "Sweetie, are you cold?"
Sherlock nodded quickly, her skates moving slightly back with the movement. John instantly took off his sweater, helping Sherlock put it on herself. Then he gave her a pair of extra mittens he had brought, also taking off his moose hat and giving it to her. He pulled her against him, wrapping his arms around her as they span in place together.
"Better?" John asked, Sherlock nodding with her head against John's shoulder.
