Sherlock waited calmly in her seat, silently deducting everyone in the somewhat fancy restaurant John had told her to meet at. She had arrived early, narrowly missing the rain cloud that chased her. The table was reserved as 'Watson' and Sherlock couldn't help but blush when the out-of-town waiter called her Mrs. Watson.

The noise of a door opening and closing rang through the busy restaurant and made its way to Sherlock's ears. She instantly started to fix herself up and sat up straighter than before, trying to seem as presentable as possible. What made Sherlock question everything was what she saw next.

John walked towards the table labeled 'Watson', wearing an elegant black blazer along with matching black trousers. His hair was combed to the side and he held an award winning smile.

And he also held the hand of a blonde woman.

Sherlock's heart stopped and her breathing hitched in her throat.

"Good Evening, Sherlock." John said, flashing her his wide smile. "I'd like you to meet Mary, my girlfriend." Sherlock breathed and forced a fake smile, standing up to shake the woman's hand. Mary quickly shook Sherlock's stiff hand and smiled.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I've heard a lot about you, Miss Holmes." Mary said.

"Yes, I'm sure you have, considering I'm your boyfriend's flat mate and all. And if that wasn't enough already, I'm the consulting detective everyone seems to be talking about these days." Sherlock said cockily, tilting her head slightly to the side with a fake smile. Mary, unfazed, sat down next to John, who sat across from Sherlock.

"Yes, I recall. You took quite the time on your last case, I noticed. Are you turning rusty, Miss Holmes?" Mary said, taking a sip from her glass of water.

Sherlock's jaw clenched and she grazed her teeth together inside her mouth. "I took the time that was needed." She said simply, hating she had no actual excuse. John looked nervously between the women, having already thought this would happen.

"Did you seriously not know the Earth revolves around the sun?" Mary giggled. Sherlock's brow twitched and she removed the napkin from her lap, angrily folding it neatly.

"I'm sorry but I am not going to waste my time with a person who barely knows me and is already laughing about my lack of knowledge when speaking of astronomy." Sherlock growled, standing in up from her chair.

"Sherlock, please. We haven't even ordered yet!" John protested.

"I'm sorry, John." Sherlock said, before picking up her bag, grabbing her coat and placing the chair back in.

"Have a good evening." Sherlock mumbled, before scurrying out of the restaurant with her head down and into the downpour outside.

She walked into the street, no cars in the road to endanger her existence.

"Sherlock!" She heard a male voice behind her call out. She knew perfectly well who it was.

"Go away, John." Sherlock yelled over her shoulder. She pulled her coat tighter around herself, the rain making everything cling onto her.

"What happened back there?" John yelled, Sherlock abruptly stopping and turning around to furiously match towards John.

"What happened back there?! What happened back there was that your girlfriend insulted me and you didn't do anything!" Sherlock poked John aggressively on the chest, him sputtering backwards in surprise.

John blinked and gestured to himself as he said "Why would I do anything?" He then gestured to Sherlock with his hands to make a point. "You said you can perfectly handle yourself when I last stood up for you."

Sherlock crossed her arms, the hair sticking to her face hiding her eyes. "It's still nice to have someone who cares and is there for you, don't you think?" She said loud enough for John only to hear.

John realized the mistake he had made and quickly moved towards her, his arms already oustretched to embrace her. Sherlock, being her, quickly stood back. She ran her hands through her wet hair, rain still making it stick to her face.

"Look, I'm sorry but what she did back there was not part of the plan."

"Plan?"

John's eyes widened, seeming to remember he wasn't suppose to blurt those words out.

Sherlock let out a fake laugh. "Oh, I see what's going on here."

"You do?" John asked nervously. Sherlock looked at John accusingly, walking closer to him so their noses were almost touching.

"You and her were trying to make me jealous!" She poked John's chest as she had done before.

"I-I-Uh-" John stuttered, his eyes wide in fear at Sherlock's anger.

"If you were even trying to impress me with that woman back there, you should've really looked for one with manners." Sherlock said, rolling her eyes at John's behavior. "Besides, I only fancy men."

John's fear was replaced with disbelief as he stared down at Sherlock. "Are you really that dense?!"

Before Sherlock could question John, he grabbed her face and bent down to place a desperate kiss on her lips. At first she was taken by surprise but then she leaned into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck automatically.

The rain still poured down on both of them, forcing them to get closer to avoid the cold. When they pulled away both of them stared at each other, seeming to be in a daze.

"Oh." Sherlock whispered softly.
