    "But I don't wanna!" Felix cried. The little, Changbin, and Jisung had just gotten back from the doctor's office, Jisung and Changbin having taken the little in place of Chan. His caregiver had gotten busy last minute with work and the two had offered to help with the little. Without Chan, it was a two-man job. "I'm sorry, this isn't a choice bubs," Jisung said, patting the little's back.
    Felix had been complaining about his throat being sore for a while, so Chan made an appointment with their doctor. Felix already doesn't like the doctors, let alone going without his caregiver, and being told he needed surgery was the last straw. Once the three had gotten in the car, the little had burst into tears. He really didn't want to have the surgery done.
    "It's just getting your tonsils taken out, nothing too bad!" But Felix didn't want someone to ease his conscience, no, what he wanted was cuddles from his caregiver. "I want Channie..." the crying boy said quietly, the words followed by a small sob as he sat on the floor. "What was that Lixie? You have to speak up bubs," Changbin said, getting only incoherent, crying babbles in return.
    "He's non-verbal... Bin you know none of us can understand him when he's this little but Chan!" Jisung said, checking the time. Chan wouldn't be home for another twenty minutes. "I know Sung, but we can't panic. Let's just do our best until Chan gets back." Changbin suggested, crouching down to face the crying little.
    Brushing the hair from Felix's forehead, Changbin softened his gaze as much as possible. "Lixie... I need you to try your hardest to help us help you," he said, confusing the boy. Felix, knowing Chan wasn't coming home soon enough, started crying harder. "Look! You made the poor boy cry!" Jisung exclaimed. Changbin scoffed, watching the younger run out of the room and come back with his hand behind his back.
    "Lixie," Jisung sing-songed. Although he was still crying, Felix looked at Jisung. "I have something for you!" A curious expression took over the little's red face, his cries quieting down. "It's Mr. Duck!" Jisung said, finally showing what was hidden behind himself. It was Felix's favorite stuffed animal, Mr. Duck, a medium-sized duck wearing a hat and clothes.
    The stuffed duck only reminded Felix of his caregiver that wasn't there, the little going back to crying and babbling. "Why'd you bring the duck of all things! He has about a thousand stuffies!" Changbin scolded, Jisung smiling sheepishly. It seemed like nothing the two did was helping, Felix's cries growing in volume.
    Jisung and Changbin lost track of time, their moods lifted immensely at the sound of the front door opening. Hurried footsteps made their way to the living room, Chan appearing as they heard the front door shut. "Lixie, I'm here. Channie's here," he said calmly while approaching the little. Upon hearing the voice of his caregiver, Felix's eyes shot open.
    The little's cries sounded painful, Chan, Changbin, and Jisung knowing they were. It was a given when taking into consideration Felix's already hurt throat. Felix reached out as Chan got closer, grabbing at his shirt and trying to pull him closer. "Hey, it's okay... You're okay..." While he whispered more encouraging words to Felix, Chan, with help from his little, picked the latter up.
    Chan shushed Felix, walking over to the couch and sitting down with the little in his lap. It took a while for Felix to calm down, Chan sitting with the boy the whole time. "Is this all you needed baby? You just wanted some cuddles?" Shaking his head sleepily, Felix looked at Chan. "What, you just wanted me home?" Another shake of the head. "Did... You want both?"
    Bingo.
    Jisung and Changbin had long gone, both tired from the eventful day. Chan and Felix ended up falling asleep on the couch for a couple hours. Seungmin, Jeongin, and Hyunjin had come out and played video games quietly. This was only made possible by the fear of waking up the little and getting on Chan's bad side for it.

    Chan was calmly sat in the waiting room of the hospital where Felix was in surgery. It had only been a couple of days since the little found out he needed surgery and, after many reassurances and cuddles from Chan, Felix was finally ready to have it.
    About forty-five minutes passed. Chan grew a little worried as he had been informed the surgery would be thirty to forty-five. He wondered if there were any complications, immediately standing up when a doctor called his name. Chan walked over to the doctor, smiling and wiping his clammy hands on his pants.
    "The surgery was a success. It went by without any complications, don't worry. Once Mr. Lee is awake, he will be able to go home. Please keep in mind that the effects of the anesthetic can last for hours after the surgery, so keep an eye on him so he doesn't do anything stupid." The doctor chuckled and Chan let out a quiet laugh. "He's in room 134." "Thank you," Chan said, watching the busy man turn and walk away.
    When Chan and Felix got home, the little went straight to his room for a nap. After around half an hour later, the little woke up and went to find Chan. It wasn't too hard, Felix knowing by the time that he was most likely headed to the studio. Chan had told him earlier that day that he had some work to finish.
    "Channie?" Felix called, finding the other putting on his shoes. "Yes? Oh, you're awake Lixie! I have to go to the studio now, but Minho's in the living room. He's going to watch you," Chan informed his little. Felix pouted, playing with the end of his shirt. "I can go with you?" he asked. Chan thought for a second before nodding.
    The two packed a bag for Felix with coloring books and stuffies so he wouldn't get bored. "Minho! I'm taking Lix with me!" Chan called. "Okay! Have fun!" Minho called back. The two set off for the studio, staying there for a couple of hours before heading home. Chan and Felix cuddled on the couch until bedtime when they moved to the bed and cuddled. "I love you, Lixie..."
    "I love you too, Channie..."
