Yongseung is trying his best here, but this song is not easy. There were complicated dance moves that he was having a little trouble with, so he would stay late and practice. This was starting to take its toll on the closeted little. Yongseung was tired, making him slower than usual.
"Yongseung! Hurry up or we'll be late!" Dongheon called from the door. The boy in question had almost fallen asleep while putting on his shoes. "Coming!" he called back, grabbing his bag and leaving his, Minchan, Kangmin, and Gyehyeon's shared room. Everyone else was already in the van, Dongheon waiting at the door patiently. "Get a move on, we gotta go," the leader said, not as angry as his words may have sounded.
The whole way there, Yongseung read too far into how Dongheon had spoken to him, making him feel small. All reason had flown out the window as soon as he felt like slipping. Deciding it wouldn't do any good to think about it, the little took a nap.

The nap didn't help in the slightest. Now, even more than before, he felt like slipping. Yongseung did his best to follow the dance moves correctly, late-night practice helping, and ignore the feeling in the back of his head. "Alright! Take five!" Yongseung took this opportunity to go to the bathroom, splash some water on his face, and get himself together.
"C'mon Yongseung! Let's get this over with!" he said to himself, checking the time on his phone. "Time to go," he whispered, heading back to the practice room.
The rest of the dance practice went by smoothly, Yongseung only tripping up a couple of times, and the group was now gathering their stuff to head back to the dorm. "Yongseung…" The little turned around to find all eyes on him. "We need to talk." Yongseung took a shaky breath, immediately thinking the worst. "You've been really distracted lately, and you're messing up dances. You're staying late practicing, making you tired during the day. What's going on?"
The tone in Hoyoung's voice wasn't nearly as harsh as Yongseung thought it was. The little part of him was thinking too deeply about everything, taking the worried stares as angry. "I've been having trouble with the new dance, I need to stay late." Minchan spoke up next. "Do you really, though? You're one of our best dancers."
Though he was only being scolded lightly out of worry, Yongseung started slipping. He couldn't control it any more, trying his hardest despite knowing this, and then he felt it. That familiar childlike feeling.
    He had slipped.
Looking down at his shoes, Yongseung didn't reply. The others grew even more worried at the sudden silence and timid aura now enveloping their friend. "We aren't trying to be mean, Yongseung," Dongheon said, Gyehyeon chiming in with, "Yeah, we're just worried!" When the little looked at them, there was something different about his expression.
He was scared and embarrassed for some reason. "Yong... What's up?" Yongseung said nothing, only stared at Kangmin with the same expression. After a minute of uncomfortable silence, Dongheon spoke up. "Let's go home, we'll talk more there."

When the group got home, they were once again surrounded by an uncomfortable feeling. "Yong, you know we weren't trying to be mean, right?" Yeonho asked, sitting down next to the timid little. Yongseung nodded shyly. "Then why won't you talk to us?" Looking at an interesting part on the floor, the little shrugged
"Did we scare you? Is that why?" Yongseung shook his head, pulling out his phone. "Are you angry with us?" Dongheon tried, getting a shake of the head as well. The group fell silent, watching the little mess with his phone for a bit. Suddenly, he handed his phone to Yeonho, who was the closest person, pointing at the screen. It was a note titled " Read out loud". Yongseung had prepared this beforehand for a situation like this.
    Clearing his throat, Yeonho read.
"If you're reading this, it means I'm too shy or too embarrassed to say it myself. I'm a little. I don't expect any of you to know what a little is, I just ask that you listen and try to understand. A little is a person who regresses to a childlike mindset to help with stress or as a result of trauma. I do it because of stress. When I slip, or go into little space, I am basically a child, to put it simply. I must be treated as such. If you have questions, please wait until I'm out of little space, or big, or feel free to look it up."
After Yeonho finished, Yongseung looked genuinely terrified. "So... Are you little right now? And that's why you aren't talking to us?" Kangmin asked, earning a nod from the little. "Are you usually this quiet in little space?" Yongseung shook his head, looking around the room. "Are you scared?" A nod. "Well, we'll just have to be extra friendly then! On our best behavior!" Minchan said. The group was smiling, soft chuckles heard as a result of Minchan's words.
Yongseung started feeling relaxed by the smiles. His fear was slowly disappearing, the tension in his shoulders leaving with it. The others had broken off into conversations as to not put all of the attention on him. The little yawned, drawing the attention of some. "Are you tired, Yongie?" Yongseung turned to look at Gyehyeon, nodding lazily. A nap sounded like heaven right then.

When Yongseung woke up, he was feeling about a hundred times better. As he got out of bed, hazy memories of what had happened while he was little started coming back to him. A red tint made itself known on his cheeks. "I should just get back in bed and pretend to sleep until the ground swallows me whole..." But a reasonable voice told him that it was easier to get it over with now rather than later.
Heading out into the living room, Yongseung took deep breaths. You're getting worked up for nothing! he thought to himself. When he got to the living room, he was met with quiet chatter. The little cleared his throat, making himself known. "Hey! You're up!" Kangmin said with a smile.
"Are you still...?" Yongseung smiled lightly. "Little? No, I'm not anymore... Let's get straight to the point. Any questions? Comments? Concerns?" To his surprise, the others all shook their heads. "We already looked it up, read about it. Educated ourselves."
"So none of you are mad? Uncomfortable? Freaked out?"
    "Nope!"
    "Nu-uh!"
    "Never!"
