My sister who, and I quote, lives in the deepest trenches of hell came up with the ending line!

Sanha was sat on the floor of his living room, playing with a small array of toys Myungjun had left. His friend had come over to hang out and play together, wanting to spend more time with little Sanha. The little side of him is very sweet and mischievous, but mostly well behaved. The two littles got along perfectly. Mumbling to himself, Sanha didn't hear the front door opening, didn't hear the footsteps coming down the hall. He didn't hear anything until, "Sanha, why're you on the floor?"
The little slowly looked up, realizing the situation. "I tripped!" he told Dongmin, standing up and coming out of little space. "Junnie was here and left some toys, I was walking and tripped on them... Heheh..." Dongmin looked completely unconvinced, but shrugged it off. "I just came by cause everyone's meeting up, and your place is on the way." the older said, bending down and picking up some of the toys. "We can take these with, give 'em back while we're there." Dongmin suggested. "No!" the younger said quickly, putting his hands out. "I mean, he'll probably come over soon, I don't mind them here. He comes over so often they're probably gonna live here now!" he joked, trying to play off suspicion.
Success.
After putting the toys away in Sanha's closet, the two boys were headed off to their friends who were roller skating. When they got to where you get your skates, Sanha grew shy. "In-lines or quads?" the worker asked Dongmin, who responded with "In-lines please!" The worker then turned to Sanha. "And for you?" Sanha cleared his throat and muttered, "Quads... please..." his cheeks growing rosy at the sound of Dongmin's quiet giggles. "Don't laugh at me!"
Finally spotting their friends, Dongmin took off. Sanha, on the other hand, slowly used the side of the rink to get to the others. "Sanha. In quads. I'll believe it when I see it!" he heard Jinwoo yell over the music. His cheeks once again gained color as he crept up behind the group. "Hey guys!" he said cheerfully. When the group turned around, their attention was immediately on his skates. "I don't believe it!" Moonbin exclaimed, each of the boys staring in awe at Sanha's skates. "You want a better look, I'll kick your dang faces in! Quit staring!" Sanha said loudly, raising a foot in warning. They all looked away within seconds.
The boys had been skating around for hours, the place now relatively empty. "Look! I can skate backwards!" was heard right before Minhyuk hit the ground hard. When he sat up and everyone caught sight of his knees, gasps were heard. Minhyuk had scraped his knees pretty badly, they were bleeding a lot. The sound of their friend hitting the ground, and the blood, was enough to shock both littles into headspace. Myungjun started crying, Sanha standing there frozen.
Once they had made sure Minhyuk was okay, all of the group's eyes went to the crying boy. "Hey, hey! Junnie, it's okay! Hyukie's fine, see?" Jinwoo said, Minhyuk shooting the little a goofy smile that caused him to giggle. "See? Everything's just fine!" Moonbin agreed, Dongmin rubbing the little's back. Sanha grew sad while watching the scene, thinking he'll never have moments like those. "Let's head out, okay?" The group started skating off, helping Myungjun out of the rink. Sanha, now in little space, forgot he was wearing skates.
He took one step and fell.
Contrary to how Minhyuk fell, all Sanha did was fall on his butt. His small sound of surprise, and the light thump of him hitting the floor, is what alerted the others. "Sanha, what are you doing down there?" the group couldn't hold back their laughter, lightly chuckling at the boy on the floor. Sanha pouted, genuinely hurt at how they reacted. "'S not funny..." he mumbled, failing at standing up. This only made the group laugh harder, the only one to take notice of his distress being Myungjun. "Hey!" Myungjun said, kicking off his skates. "Don't laugh at Sannie! Look, you made him cry, you meanies!" he walked over to Sanha, trying to get the younger's skates off so he could get up.
Calming down enough to notice the hurt look on Sanha's face, Minhyuk elbowed Moonbin, who was still laughing. "Shut it, he's gonna cry!" he whispered harshly. "Hey, we were just playing around Sanha. You know that, right?" Jinwoo said, slowly approaching the two littles. "Stay 'way!" Sanha said, frowning at the boy. Once Myungjun had managed to get the skates off of him, Sanha stood up and hid behind the older. "Meanies..." he mumbled to Myungjun. The other little nodded his head in agreement, grabbing Sanha's hand and walking off the rink. The others were left confused.
By the time they had all gathered at Sanha's house, the four caregivers had figured out what was going on. "Why didn't you tell us, Sannie?" Dongmin asked the little. Him and Myungjun were playing with the toys the latter had left. "'Cause!" he said, putting down his toys. "Because...?" Jinwoo urged. "'Cause I's scared..." he mumbled. "Speak up hun, we can't understand you." "I said I's scared!" he shouted, burying his face in his hands. The others smiled softly at the cute action. "There's nothing to be scared about, hun! We love you all the same!" And as Sanha looked and saw sincerity in all of their eyes, he knew they meant it.
The world seemed brighter when they were together.
