Her Twisted Mistake

Chapter 4

Twenty minutes after the call, nasa mansion na ako. Sheena ran into the garage when she heard I'm home. Agad niyang sinuri ang kotse niya. 

"Bakit mo 'to ginamit? Kakabili ko lang nito last month!" lintanya niya pagbigay ko ng susi niya. 

I just savagely smiled at her with my mannerism-smile. 

Hindi pa siya tapos sa sinasabi niya pero iniwan ko na siya. I was sipping my coffee when I saw Carolina and Juliana in the living area. 

"Hindi ka man lang nagpasalamat! Kaya ka nag-grounded!" pahabol ni Sheena. She was now walking beside me. 

I grinned to annoy her more. "Kawawa ka naman. Yan kasi… bobita pa nga!" panunuya ko. 

"Mamaya na kayo mag away! Doon muna tayo sa backyard!" si Carolina. 

Nauna sila ni Juliana umalis. Hindi na nila ako pinagpahinga. Pagod ako sa pagda dive! 

Agad nila akong pinag gitnaang tatlo sa bench. I can feel their tension and I have a feeling what this meeting could be all about. 

I sipped my from my coffee again at saka sila inisa isang tingnan. When I swallowed, I giggled at them. 

"Bakit kayo takot? Ako naman ang papagalitan ni Lola mamaya ahh. Hindi kayo." 

They ignored me. The tension is still there. 

Ngumuso ako! Fine. Time to drop the bomb then! 

"I went to meet a client for my project. Alice Alvarez… She mentioned a birthday party. Lahat ng umatend doon ay under investigation." Tiningnan ko sila isa isa. "Is that it? Is that what you're going to tell me? Alam niyo namang wala akong interest sa mga ganyan, diba?" 

Juliana gasped. I look at her intently. 

"She told me you're lucky you couldn't make it. This RAVENS is very very mad daw. Aren't some of the members a shareholder in Tito's company?" tukoy ko sa company nina Juliana. 

They got silent. Nararamdaman ko ang kaba nila and it lasts for minutes. 

Carolina broke the silence afterwards. "My supposed flight…" Her voice is horse with nervousness. 

Hindi ko siya pinatapos.

"I know. I heard you. I heard it all when you thought I was asleep last night." 

Juliana gasped. I grinned at her. 

"Hindi naman sa gusto kong makinig. I was just curious. Akala ko gusto niyo akong pag chismisan. Iba pala…" Bumaling ako kay Carolina. "May boyfriend ka pala ahh! Hindi mo sinasabi." I teased.

Carolina groaned. "Sierra! For once, can we talk to you seriously? This is a serious matter. Can't you feel we're scared?" frustrated niyang sinabi. 

I giggled. "E ano gusto niyong gawin ko? Maki takot din? Hindi naman ako kasali dyan ahh! I don't want another blow with the family. Ang dami ko ng atraso!" 

"Sierra, please… help us." Si Juliana. She hugged me tight as if she could get strength from me. 

Sheena started to sob. "Please… we don't know what to do anymore. Kilala kami ng mga APS. We can't back down to what they want us to do. They threatened us."

Carolina hid her face with her two hands at saka umupo sa damuhan. 

I giggled at them. "Kawawa naman kayo. Yan kasi ehh…." 

"Sierra!" lumuluha pero iritang tawag ni Sheena. I bit my tongue at nag iwas ng tingin. 

I let them in their misery for a few minutes. Juliana keeps on hugging me while saying her unending 'please help us'. Carolina stayed in the grass with her head on her knees. Sheena keeps on saying sorry for calling me bobita and that I should help them. Nang maawa ako sa kanila ay doon pa ako nag seryoso.
