Chapter 12

The next day, nanatili lang kami sa bahay. Sina Mommy ay may dinaluhang party sa malapit na bayan pero hindi na kami pinasama. Kinausap narin ako ng tatlo matapos humupa ang galit. 

When lunch came at hindi pa dumating sina Lola, nauna kaming tatlo. The boys were always out. Si Kuya Gavin at Cedric ay palaging may mundo. Kuya Gavin is Juliana's brother while Kuya Cedric is Carolina's brother. Palaging wala kasi may kanya kanyang business. Kaya kaming apat na naman ang kumakain sa hapag. 

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" tanong ni Carolina. 

Sheena and Juliana giggle kaya napatingin ako sa kanila. 

"May pupuntahan kayo?" I asked, still spooning my food. 

Carolina nodded. "May yacht party bukas ang kaibigan ko dito sa Palawan. We're invited." She motioned Juliana and Sheena. 

"Ahh!" I uttered. 

"Some of the RAVENS are Invited. I'm so excited." Si Sheena. The excitement for tomorrow's event is very evident in her high pitched voice. 

I listened to them most of the time. Hindi naman ako makasabay dahil mga kaibigan nila sa socialite ang topic nila. I don't have socialite friends kaya hindi ako maka relate. 

But with the sudden mention of RAVENS, I suddenly wonder if Ellison is a member of RAVENS? 

Hindi ko naman matanong sa kanila kasi I'm sure if I mention Franklin, Juliana will slit her eyes at me because of her still accusation. 

After our lunch, hindi na ako tumabi sa kanila nang hindi na matapos tapos ang mga plano. They even call their friends for the plan tomorrow. 

Kaya buong araw akong natulog lang. Mommy invited me to watch the sunset when they came pero sadyang wala akong gana kaya sa kwarto lang ako. 

The next day, rinig na rinig ko ang pag aayos ng tatlo. We were in the same room again. Nagising ako dahil panay ang kalukat nila ng gamit na dadalhin at susuotin. 

"Ngayon kayo aalis?" tanong ko. I looked at the clock and saw it was already 10 in the morning. 

Hindi nila ako mapanasin sa pagmamadali pero sinagot ako ni Sheena. 

I nodded and tried to go back to sleep again. Kaya lang, mataas na din ang araw kaya hindi na ako makatulog. 

I just watched them busy themselves. It actually took them 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish dressing and everything. 

Matapos nila ay saka lang ako pumasok sa bathroom para hindi makaabala. I wore my white maxi dress bago bumaba. 

Pagbaba ko wala na sila. It's only Lola that I saw in the living area. 

When Lola saw me, agad kumumot ang noo niya.

"You're still here?" gulat niyang tanong. 

I got confused too. 

"Kakaalis lang nilang tatlo. Naku… bakit ka nila iniwan?" now she sounds critical as if magagalit na. "Baka doon ka nila hihintayin. Bilisan mo na!" 

What? Anong usapan nila? Hindi naman ako kasama dapat ahh! 

When I saw Lola stood up, probably to walk with me. Hindi kona siya pinatayo at mabilis akong lumabas para sundan sina Carolina. I have to ask them too ano ba ang sinabi nila kay Lola at akala niya kasama nila ako. 

But when I reached the shore, I saw a yacht that was sailing out. Hindi na kita masyado ang mga sakay non. 

I sighed and stayed at the shore. I started to think of an alibi ano ba ang pwedeng idahilan kay Lola.
