Sabotage?

A day after he had visited (Y/n) with Sam, his training group was divided and moved to the bigger battles across the border. A loud officer had commanded that he and his group pack up and march northwest.

He went over to Sam's group and looked for him, his short dark hair stood out and he walked to him, trying to blend in with the crowd of men as to not get in trouble for not being where he is supposed to be. Sam sees him and approaches him. "Techno, what's up? Arent, you leaving in a few minutes?" he asked, adjusting his creeper bandana around his neck. "Yeah, I know, I know, but how could I not say bye first?" he replies sarcastically, making Sam heave a laugh. "No, but really, can you do me a favor?" asked the piglin boy.

Sam hums, waiting for his reply. "If you could sneak away, could you let (Y/n) that we are both being moved? I don't want her going out of her way to go to the cave when we won't be there, she could get caught," he finished. "I will try, but I'm not sure if I can, my officer hasn't announced when my group is leaving for the boarders," Sam pulled his fingers through his wavy hair. Techno thanks him and pulls him into a hug, saying his final goodbye until they can meet again. He sneaks back to his group just before they are about to leave.

He hoists up his heavy bag with all of his personal items in it, as well as some tools, a sleeping bag, and weapons. He got in an organized gridlike formation with the other men and they began the cold march through the shallow snow to the next camp.

After hours of endless walking, most of the men were panting and exhausted. The officer in charge of them allowed a break, allowing them to go to the bathroom and rest up. Only an hour or so after they resumed walking, Techno had finally arrived at the camp; mind racing with all the training he has to do, and all the people that he'll have to deal with. Techno was never good with people, they stressed him out and made everything difficult for him. Luckily teamwork wasn't all too needed during their long and tiring walk, it proved as good endurance training.

He was shown to a cluster of large tents. Walking in, he huffed at the emptiness of it, nothing on the floor but leather hides serving as bed mats, then again, he didn't care much. He was going to be out for most of the day, training and practicing until he is sent to the front lines. Really all he cared about was rising ranks to end this war as soon as he could, knowing he was too tangled in this mess of territorial disputes to get himself out.

Techno had planned to start training immediately after he had gotten there, but it seems the trip had taken a toll on his physical health. The trip really was hilly, and marching up and down the hills was quite tiring, even for a hunter and overall active young adult he was. His body was very fit and lean from playing with his brothers and participating in sports whenever he could. He laid his heavy bag aside and examined his group of maybe a hundred men, most middle-aged farmers.

A man who occupied the leather mat next to him groaned. "They give the field nurses better treatment than this, they even get mattresses!" he huffed irritated. "They really put a lot of effort into the comfort factor, huh," Techno mumbled sarcastically, loud enough for the guy next to him to hear. The man laughed bitterly at the stale tone of his voice.

"You sure are young to be in the military," he said, taking note of Techno's appearance. "I didn't exactly have a choice," he replied. "Oh? I recruited for my country, I'm a proud Semptian! I do miss my wife at home though, and my little boy of course," he rambled. Techno listened as they unpacked, listening about his home in Sempton.

"Is there anyone you are looking forward to seeing after this mess is all over?" asked the man, catching him off guard. (Y/n) flashed to his mind. He had so little time with her. "Yeah, I got a family East of here, my dad, brothers, and a childhood friend," he said, deciding the conversation to be pleasant.
