{Chapter 5.}
Lydia:
I stood in front in front of the door that Damon practically pushed me out of and wondered. My mind was at all sorts of places. Most importantly. Vampires were real, and so were werewolves and witches even doppelgängers. It was so weird, not the doppelgänger part but, everything else. Damon explained to me the crazy vampire that Elena has as her doppelgänger. The thought of witchcraft actually working miracles and people coming to life as werewolves during a full moon, it's all just scary. It's like a whole new universe out there and so many people don't know about it.
" I can still hear you." I heard Damon's voice come through the door which made me realize that I should go back home.
" Sorry." I said quietly, knowing that he would hear me anyways.
I crossed my arms feeling a shiver go down my back. Damon probably heard my heart beating since that was the only noise that could've been heard. Vampires have excellent hearing and sight and strength and speed: basically excellent everything.
Finally I stepped away from the boarding house, walking away slowly I just couldn't wrap my head around everything. The bloodthirsty, the magical and the outrageous. I looked down into my hand and the vial filled with blood was still there. Everything went from being perfect to being even more messed up than before.
Reaching the end of the driveway, I looked back at the boarding house. I wasn't sure what I expected to see but, the only thing I could quite decipher was the sun bright in my eyes. After putting my hand up to cover the sun, I jogged home quickly, jumped the fence into our backyard and snook in through the back door which wasn't locked. Alec had probably unlocked it while I was gone. When I came in, he was standing there looking at me petrified.
" Hey." I whispered easily closing the door but, not locking it. "I found a lot of answers, you're definitely wanna hear what I have to say. Are Mom and Dad awake yet?"
" Lydia." When I looked back at Alec his eyes were wide and I was so confused.
" What is it?" I asked too distracted to kick off my shoes.
" Come upstairs." He stuck out his hand for me to take it.
" Oh no is it Cass?" I asked frantically rushing up the spiral stairs.
I rushed down the hall to her room and she was still asleep. A large weight was lifted off of my chest until Alec took grasp of my arm and pointed me to go to Mom and Dads room.
" Oh no." I murmured to myself.
When I bursted into my Parents room, I was terrified right down to the bone. Instantly tears flowed in my eyes.
" Oh my God." I cried falling to my knees. "No."
The bedroom had blood splattered all over the walls and lamp shades, the sheets were spread all over the bed even hanging off. Blood was everywhere but, not a body was in sight.
" What the hell is going on so-" Cassidy had walked behind Alec and I and peered into the room. She gasped and I could practically feel the tears burning in her eyes.
" Where are they?" I asked through the sobbing.
I walked into the room slowly and seen both of their dead bodies toppled on top of each other between the bed and the window. Cassidy followed me and put both hands to her mouth.
" This can't be happening." I cried going back to the doorway.
" I opened the room to see if they were up and-" Alec trailed off biting his lip. "I found them."
At this rate Cassidy was sobbing and I was crying, we all just went in for a hug.
