Road Trip

{Chapter 10.}

Lydia:

As I ventured upstairs in the boarding house I could hear Stefan and Cassidy talking in a room down the hall. She was crying, it didn't sound so good.

" I never told them I was a werewolf because I felt like I would invade their human lives but, now that they've discovered what I am are they satisfied? What if they think of me differently Stefan, what if they hate me now?" I heard the feminine voice sniff her nose.

" They won't hate you Cassidy, they're your family. Even if you've been keeping the secret in, I'm sure they'll understand. Don't be so hard on yourself." Stefan's voice was recognizable.

I decided to stop listening and turned around only to crash into someone's chest.

" Eavesdropping are we?" Damon whispered looking down at me.

" I was just curious." I whispered biting my lip.

" Curious enough to go out of your way and come here when your room is in the opposite direction?" His remark was a bit sarcastic. I narrowed my eyes at him.

" Couldn't even have the decency to be quiet?" A voice came from behind me. I turned to face Stefan.

" Sorry." I apologized as he closed the bedroom door.

" I'll show you to your room." Damon said with a smirk. I followed him anyways.

" Where's Alec?" I asked.

" He's currently taking a shower." Damon said, entering a bedroom.

The room was nice, there was a queen- sized bed by the wall, a large window and a bathroom. Long deep red curtains complemented the old looking furniture.

" Fancy." I said running a hand by the vanity near the door.

" It's all yours too." Damon said, his eyes following as I went over to the dresser and opened the drawers gently.

" How did you get my size in clothes?" I asked pulling out a grey top and a pair of jeans.

" I guessed." He replied.

" What about Klaus?" I questioned.

When I turned around, the bedroom door was closed and Damon was gone. I guessed it meant for me to take my shower and change into the clothes I took out.

When I came out of the shower I changed my clothes and sat on the bed. It was hard not to think about being stabbed this morning. I should be dead. Now Klaus will never stop chasing me and I still don't know why.

Going downstairs, I figured out that Elena, Bonnie, Caroline and Jeremy had been downstairs. Stefan and Damon were down there too.

" What's going on guys?" I asked coming into the main room.

" Are you okay?" Elena was the first to give me a hug, she was so caring.

" Terrific." I said with a smile.

" We heard about what happened with Klaus." Caroline bit her lips.

" I'm so sorry my magic didn't work. The barrier spell should've held for a longer time." Bonnie shook her head.

" It's alright. As long as you tried." I shrugged.

" Well, we came up with a plan about this whole Klaus problem." Stefan started.

" It includes you leaving town but, then you'll have to come back." Elena explained.

" Wait, why am I leaving and where?" I asked curiously
